Is ther something going on at disney aug 11 to aug 17.
Ther website is saying all resorts are full.

Well I have a reservation during that time (12-16). We were able to find a room at CSR just last month.

well it is the height of the summer season... there might be some folks that planned a little further ahead.

Call.

My understanding is that they only allot a certain number of rooms in any given resort for web site bookings. The only way to know for sure is to call and talk to someone.

If they still turn out to be full, you can try calling back everyday, esp. as the time gets closer. People cancel and something might open up!

Good luck!

Hmm...I just found availablity for the 16 thru the 23 at several resorts. We booked about a month ago, but just changed resorts last week.

Maybe try adding a day or two...sometimes that changes availablity.

Good luck!

It may just be that no one resort has a room for that entire week in your price range. Different resorts may have different bits and pieces.

Mid August is the lull of the summer at Disney - a few rooms are usually to be found. :) Although there have been a lot of discounts offered for August and September the last couple of weeks.

It is less than a month, so might be better to call. Good luck!

I was thinking that this would be the value season, so I think there should be rooms somewhere..I know I made my ressies months ago:) Good luck

Disney did just offer both general public discounts, and Florida resident discounts that include those dates (8/3 - 9/27, I think), so even though it's value season that could have impacted availability.

Again, I think the best thing to do is call on the phone, and consider being flexible with your dates - a day or so on either side - and it's possible something is available.

Alway recheck the website for the resort and dates you want. I started at PO Riverside and was finally able to catch a slot at French Quarter. I was booking under that room only discount at the beginning of September. They only have a certain number of rooms at each resort at those prices. There were plenty of rooms at regular price.:flower3:

If you will look at the Tickets & Reservations link on www.disneyworld.com, you will find the Special Offers link. Click there and you'll see that Disney is offering an End of the Summer Special. The rates are ridiculously low so everybody has booked a stay!

Hmmm....think we may have a very different interpretation of "ridiculously low".;)

we booked our reservation back in March we will be there Aug. 12-18 we have a group of 12
eight of us are staying at the POLY and the other four at the POP we did get the value season rate. so I am hoping it wont be as crowded as the first of the summer or July we have never been in August always end of May and that is not a bad time a few waits but not major also a little cooler. where we live it was a high of 100 today with heat index of 106 so heat is not a thing we are not use to.

Checked expedia for your dates and it shows VWL and BC available...and in DTD Buena Vista Palace - which is a very nice resort, right across from DTD.

:)

there may also be single days within those dates that are full. i'd call and see about maybe doing a split stay?

i am there beg of Sept and didn't book all that long ago? a few weeks?

Dream Unlimited is saying it is booked

We planned a trip last week for 8/15-8/20 and they told me the same thing. I requested the Poly. Was told no nothing available. I went to disney website and booked just fine at the Poly. I would try for yourself and see what comes up. I know when we booked there was lots of availablity.
Good luck!

We are there the 14th-19th and were able to upgrade from POR to WL with the discount code just last week, so I would keep checking several sources, try calling, try the website, try Expedia. It is wierd that several of the resorts were totally full, the GF is totally full and usually when I call to book a room they are trying to sell me the GF!

I have been trying on the website for a week to get a room from Aug. 10th - the 16th and nothing. I called 2x to the Disney # and nothing. On Sunday I called again and they had the 3 bdrm Saratoga Springs villa for $10,000 or a presidential suite at the BC for $15,000. That was it. I ended up changing the dates to a week later and getting the GF cheaper than a moderate. I guess some deal popped up and I snagged it. Good luck though!!

What's really weird is AAA is still showing rooms at All Stars Sports and Caribbean Beach but when you try to book, it says they can't process your request. When you call then, they say it's a "false availability". You might want to go to the Disney website and change your dates to add several extra days. Sometimes, there is a glitch in their system which, when you book a longer stay something magically appears available. I did this (added three days at the end of a room only reservation) and then I called later in the day and said I just found out we couldn't stay that long. I was able to keep the same reservation and rate. They just changed the dates.
