Disney Book And Record/Tape sets

Do you remember when Disney created storybook read-along sets called Disney Record/Tape Sets? I used to love these cassette tape sets growing up and my mother and I even got some of the record and storybook sets as well. They had interesting narrators and the classic turn-the-page chimes are so wonderful and unique to these Disney storybook sets. Some of the most popular ones were Snow White Peter Pan Robin Hood Sleeping Beauty Cinderella and It's A Small World. In the 80's Disney added a treat to these book and tape sets by adding a song from the movie the cassette tape and storybook was based on and it continued through the 90's. With MP3 players and boom boxes still in fashion Disney has kept this childhood memory alive by creating the Disney Songs and Story series of albums and has released many different storybook/album sets on current and popular Disney movies and has even added Star Wars and Marvel stories to the line too. My teacher also had these Disney storybook/record/tape sets in my classroom and my classmates adored hearing these tapes all the time in school

I think Disney really had a run with their money when they created these book/record/tape sets in the 60's and they continued to do it in the 80's and 90's because people bought them for their kids to listen to while also learning how to read on their own. I had some of the Princess read-along books and tapes and my teacher and I loved the Sleeping Beauty read-along book and tape set too. I am surprised Disney doesn't remaster these books and tapes on CD versions because these books and tapes are classics of Disney. They also made Disney read-along board books for toddlers in the 90's called My First Read-Along as well

I still have the children’s storybook with the 78rpm tucked inside set featuring
Frosty the Snowman song .
I didn’t know they still made this with Star Wars I’ll have to find a record store.
Maybe Barnes& Noble has a few in stock.
My favorite time to shop for movies and music is for the holidays .
I guess Mothers Day can be a celebration to shop for myself!
