disney bonus 5X rewards ?

I signed up for the first time.
the offer is spend $250 in dining, gas , airlines and groceries. I think i was shorted on my rewards. Or how long does it take to show up?

I only got 15 rewards points so far but i had also earned 1 rewards before the deal.

i didnt make the amount in may and june. So in July did i earn 12 rewards


if i call do i have to go through all of the charges with them? How dies it work. I called about 1 1/2 week ago to see if certain stores qualified as grocery because it showed up as "other". The lady said yes but i had to give her the date because my acct did show up all at once. I decide to sit and double check my totll because it seemed low, hopefully I'm doing it right

If I am doing the math right and everything you assumed is in Gas, Grocery & Dining truely is according to how Chase codes the transation (not what you see on your statement). Then you should have 10 Reward Dollars for April (6 regular & 4 bonus (only $100 spent over the $250 so that is an additional 4)).

For July you are only approx $20 over the min threshold...so that does not reach the $1 reward/$100 spent. So you just have 5 regular reward dollars for July.

Total = 15 reg + 4 bonus. If you check you statement they separate Regular and Bonus rewards, so you may have only received your regular ones so far. Sometimes the bonus take an extra bill cycle and/or are not awarded until the end of the promotion.

For April you should have earned 6 rewards dollars for all of your purchases. You spent a total of $362.35 in the bonus categories, which is $112.35 over your threshold of $250. You should have earned an additional 4 bonus rewards dollars for the $112+ only, not the whole $362+. Those bonus rewards dollars should have shown up on the statement that was 60-90 days after the purchases were made (July's or August's depending on purchase dates and billing cycle closing dates). They show up on a separate line as bonus rewards dollars just below the rewards dollars from net purchases.

For July's purchases, you should have gotten 5 rewards dollars for your net purchases. You spent $273.13 on purchases from the bonus categories. That's $23.13 above the threshold. That earned you 1 bonus dollar, which will not be credited for another month or two.

That means that you should have 15 rewards dollars total for those 2 statements with an additional bonus rewards dollar to be awarded in the next couple of cycles.

Not everyone with a Disney VISA was sent this offer. Not only that, but the categories and thresholds can be different for different customers.

In order to get the bonus, I had to enter a code on a special website. The code and website address came in a postcard mailing for me but some DISers have reported success by calling Chase to see if there was an offer associated with their account. The code on the postcard was unique to my account and could not be shared with another cardholder. There was also a telephone number to call in case I did not feel comfortable using a website.

The current offer was for purchases made in June, July and August.

Thanks. i guess i was doing it wrong. I was counting 2 rewards for the $250 then 5 rewards for each additional $100. i only have to spend $250 in the qualifying cate

ooohhhhh ok i get it now. I thought once i spent $250 total in the stated cat that anything above the 250.00 including the "other "cat. would count for bonus rewards. So anything above the $250 inthe qualifying cate get 4x. I'm glad i asked here cuz I'd feel like a bigger fool on the phone-lol!

You're so lucky to get the offer! I got 2 in a row over a year ago, and haven't gotten one since..... maybe b/c we put everything on our card and then pay it off every month - they can see that and don't want to give us the extra reward $$......

I got my last 5X for Christmas, and haven't received one since !
But, I now put everything on our Disney, too.
So, they probably figure they got me lured in, so they don't need to
offer me any more promos !
It does make me wonder, if I stopped using my Disney Visa, if I would
get another offer ?
I'm not willing to try until after our March trip, though !

Well i use my disney visa because my citi bank has $900 on it, its taking forever to pay that card down but i did havew a high balance on it. Once i get it paid down i will use it for the cash 1% cash back and 3% cash back on grocery and gas

if disney visa send me more 5X rewards then i will sign up to use it.

i got this offer last august and i think in jan and both time we maxed out on it 100 bonus dollars so this summer they didnt sent it to me they only offer pay the same bill with your credit card 2 months in a row and get 25 bonus dollars

I got the offer for April-June and then July-Sept. I am sure I will be cut off the 5x bonus at the end of Sept! I noticed that certain grocery purchases don't count in the fine print. So if you get groceries at a warehouse store, super store or a specialty store like Trader Joes don't assume it will count towards the $250 mininum!
