Hi All,

I will be staying at the BWI for the first time this August and I could either stay in a Standard View room or a Water View room, are there any differences in the room size or layout? Would being water facing make the room louder than a standard room?

It is actually my first stay off the monorail loop and I am quite excited at being so close to Epcot and DHS.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

I found the water view rooms to be loud - not a night really, but it was the boats blowing their horns as they pulled into the dock every morning around 730a that I found a bit annoying.

If I stayed their again, I'd opt for the standard because of it.

We booked a standard and got upgraded to a water view right above kat Cora. :goodvibes. We could hear some noise as far as boardwalk stuff at night but nothing terrible. We are early risers so we love the boat horns. We were usually having breakfast outside at the bakery when the boats started up. The other water view will be on the side of the resort across from the swan.

Standard views face the front of the resort by the bus stops. The bus stop is a little walk in front of the resort so no rooms are super close by. We loved our stay there and it was dh favorite resort by far. The pool is awesome even with the clown slide:clown: don't let that bother you. Have a great trip! pixiedust:

We just stayed in a standard view room at BWI and had a nice, second floor view of one of the quiet pools. It was our first time at BWI so have nothing to compare to in terms of view, but I would stay there again with that same view in a heartbeat.

I've never stayed on the Inn side, but I own DVC at BW, and have stayed there many times! Some say that the boats are noisy...but, for what it's worth, many DVC people always request a boardwalk view. It is highly desired. Usually the boats don't make a ton of noise until the vast majority of people are awake anyway. And I will say that with the doors closed, to the outside, there is little noise. At least that has been my experience.

I am staying at BWI in October with a water view, and am so excited. ANyone want to share the view here?
