Disney Boardwalk Activities

We are having an eary dinner at Ohana's but by the time dinner wraps up it will probable be around 8pm or so. I need some suggestions on what to do with our time after dinner it is not an EMH night at any park so things will closed. We were thinking Boardwalk, but is there things to do there? What are some other things we might do, me DH and DD4. We don't want to watch a movie we could do that at home.

It's fun to explore the boardwalk. There are shops including the Wyland Gallery, you can rent a bike for the entire family, take a boat ridem a few arcade games are usually open and at 9:00 you can watch Illuminations from the bridge.

Make sure you are there on a night when the Boardwalk activities are going on, even in July things were pretty much closed down on Monday and Tuesday nights. I, personally, would wait to do the Boardwalk when I was going to be at MGM or Epcot. You could eat at one of the Boardwalk restaurants on another night and be right there for the festivities. If you are relaying on Disney transportation, it may take a little while (30 -45 minutes) to get to the Boardwalk from Ohana. You will have to get to TTC or MK and then catch a resort bus to the Boardwalk, though I'm not totally sure that they have resort busses at TTC. After eating at Ohana, you could explore Grand Floridian or play games at the Contemporary arcade.

You can also explore the five resorts that are on the lake. The whole area is very pretty, especially at night. As katallo said, Wyland Gallery is worth a visit - located by the green in front of the BWI. Living eight blocks from the boardwalks here at the Jersey shore, we think any boardwalk is a great place to be, and Disney's tops them all!! Have fun!!!
