I have a neice who is a compulsive liar so I need to ask if this is true .

She is going to Disney end of Oct beginning of Nov. Her daughters birthday falls in the dates she is there.
So her mom (My sister) was telling me yesterday her plans whild down there.
She is staying at the AS Music. On the day of her DD's birthday. One of the Characters is coming to their room and waking her daughter up and taking her to breakfast. Do they really do this?

I have never heard of this on these boards and I am pretty sure someone would have said something about this. They will do a wake-up call in the room and they have character breakfasts in the various restaurants so she might be "confusing" it with that.

thank you! Like I said she is a complusive liar. I have never heard of it either.

i would think that you can get disney to do anything if you are willing to pay for it.

See if I would have heard it here or from somebody else.other than this neice I would have believed it.But nothing she says is ever the truth. So when my sister (who believes everything she says as well as my mom)told me this I had to ask here.MY brother who is a DVC member who goes 2x's a year never heard of it either.

That would be alot of money for something like that. To have to have security and the Characters come out like that after laying all those people off. Seemed to far fetched for me.

I knew I would get a truthful answer here.

Thanks

Make sure you ask her to see the pictures of when this character came and woke the little girl up when she gets home from the trip! :rotfl:
Though, she'd probably make up some excuse saying her camera was dead or something like that. Would be kinda funny to see her squirm though when you ask about it. ;)

Do it!! I'm so glad you didn't take offense to that. After posting it I thought "Oh man.." Some people just don't get my evil humor! :rotfl:

It seems we both have the same evil humor!!

A little background on this nieceand I. She is 2 years younger than me. She is jealous person. that is why I think she lies to make people jealous of her. I have never gotten along w/her and always fight with my mom about her. My mom has this thing to always believe and stick up for this grandchild. So i will wait adn see what pictures she has.

I did call her on telling people that the halloween ticket was free with her stay. I said sorry the only one of you that is free for halloween is the baby( only 2 years old)

That is sad. I don't understand why people think they need to do stuff like that in order to make themselves look good. My sister in law is the same way. I just shake my head at it all.

Having worked for Disney, I can tell you that no characters ever go to a resort room. None. Ever. It is just not done.

I had one guy call and ask how he could get a princess to visit his resort room. I called the character line and they just laughed at me.

Character interactions can be arranged, for a price, but they never involve a guest room.

A little off topic, I got a call one day. A lady wanted to know how she could arrange for Shrek to come to her Disney resort room. She was really surprised when I told her that Shrek was not a Disney character. She asked me if I was sure. Even thought I told her I was certain, I don't think she believed me. :goodvibes

Can you imagine the lawsuits and HEADLINES if they allowed this "Child attacked by Cinderella at DW" :scared1:

My mind went to "Cinderella raped by WDW Guest...in Guest's room"

I imagine it is for the safety of the staff they refrain from doing character meets in guests rooms!

Exactly. Characters get beat up all the time in the parks with their handlers by their side. Can you imagine what could happen in a guest room isolated with total strangers. As much as we'd all like to think that everyone who visits WDW is a nice person, that is probably not the case.

I knew it couldn't be true!! She is such a liar.I love when I can call her on it. So now I have to wait until Nov to ask to see the pictures.:laughing:

Yeah, I can't imaine the questions and trouble this could raise. Just not safe.

Since she is a liar, she is probably lying. But it would be sad for her little DD to think a princess is coming to her room and taking her to breakfast. :( Maybe she is confused about the wake-up call and character breakfast. Or do you just think she is lying to sound *good*? Sad...

My sister said they weren't telling so it will be a surprise. So her DD has no idea thank god! She most likely knows it's just a call but she has to make it bigger than it is. She does this with everything. I think she wants people to be jealous (like she is) so she makes it bigger! she has been like this since she was little! I feel sad for her kids!
