Disney Bells and Pixie Dust! Our Practically Perfect Vacation!*Thanks for reading!

Monica, I don't want this report to end! Can't you fill up a few more pages with every detail of the horrid trip home? Sounds like that was almost as long as the time spent at WDW :lmao:

I feel like I know you and your family so well even though we have never met. Thanks for sharing your trip and your family with complete strangers!

I've blocked alot of it out! You just get on a mission to get home! I can tell you that we were missing our new bottles of the kids shampoo, body wash, and Megan's new Donald Duck rubber duck that she got for her bday. We're guessing that they were in a bag together and the maid through it out.:sad2: I'll have to replace the rubber duck since she loved it.

Thanks Lisa. It's been alot of fun writing it. We need to get together this summer. Maybe a day at the outlet mall? I'm so happy you found my report and we "met"!

Hi love your posts!!
How did you make your shirts??/
I love them! We are taking Grandma in August it would be great to do up some t shirts!:worship:

Hi! Thank you! The character ones are iron ons. I designed most of ours on Photoshop, but you can get them designed for you on the design boards on here. It's towards the bottom of the main page. You can post a request and a designer is usually willing to do it for you. Then you just print it out on tranfer paper. JUST READ THE DIRECTIONS VERY CAREFULLY!!! The designers over there are awesome! I would be happy to do some designs for you as well, but I'm pretty new at it! You can PM me.

The spiral Mickey head design is very easy. It's a flour/water mixture with fabric spray paint. I can post detailed directions if that's what you are interested in. Let me know.

What a fun time you are going to have!!! It's fun to have special shirts at Disney. We got alot of attention the day we all wore our matching Mickey head shirts!

I would love it if you could post how to make the mickey heads! They are great I am thinking need to go out and buy some white t shirts!!
I loved watching all the people with their matching t shirts when we were there in 06. I was very jelous!:rolleyes1

I'd love to! I could be the Photopass spokesperson I loved it so much! Pre order the CD on the Photopass website. Do it soon since you'll be leaving. If you can't find where to do it on the website just google "Pre order Disney Photopass". I had trouble navigating their website. They will email you a confimation with your code on it. PRINT IT OUT AND DO NOT DELETE!!! You must have this to finalize your order when you return. When you get your 1st Photopass pic taken they will give you a "credit card" type card and all of your pictures will go on that. Take tons and have fun. When you return you will log onto the Photopass website, put in your code, and the number off of the back(s) of the card(s) with the pictures on them. (**HINT: As soon as you are given a Photopass card take a picture of the back just in case you lose it!) After you've logged the info in it will bring up all of your Photopass pictures. That's when you add your boarders, crop, etc. You have 30 days to do this. When you are finished you check out and that's when they send you your CD. You cannot edit after the CD is mailed. On the CD is the copyright so you can order pictures from anywhere. Also on the CD are the originals. So if it's a picture of you with Goofy and you add a boarder then you will get both. If you had 200 pics taken, and you add boarders to all of them there will be 400 pictures on your CD. It's wonderful. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask![/QUOTE]

Thank you for all the info. on photopass. I pre-ordered my CD. Now I just have to remember to find as many photographers as I can. I can't wait!:yay:
Loved your TR.

Materials:
-white shirts
-flour
-water
-cake decorator or empty/clean squirt bottle like chocolate syrup, or mustard bottle
-spray paint fabric paint **They make aerosol and pump spray. They both have their pros and cons, but I preferred the pump spray. The aerosol soaked the material too much.

Step 1: Pre wash your shirts WITHOUT fabric softener
Step 2: Put some warm water in a bowl (I only did a cup or so, but you'll want more for your big group). Then gradually add flour stirring as you go to avoid clumps. Do this until it's the consistency of mustard.
Step 3: Put a piece of cardboard, or a cutting board in the shirt so it doesn't bleed through.
Step 4: Put the mixture in you squirt bottle and "draw" on the spiral design. You can sketch it on w/ a pencil first if you need to, but it's pretty easy to do and doen't need to be perfect. You want your lines to be fairly thick or the paint will bleed under. If you need your lines more even in size just take a toothpick and blend.
Step 4: Let dry overnight until hard
Step 5: Spray on desired colors. Black works really well for the main Mickey head with colors around it.
Step 6: Let paint dry.
Step 7: Pick off mixture. If you pick off the mixture when the paint isn't quite dry, it's alot easier. If it is completly dry it's kind of a pain.

It may sound complicated, but it is very simple and they turn out really cool. If you have any questions let me know!

Great TR. At least you finished yours - my last day has been unfinished for 2 months. :sad2: Did Coral Reef smell fishy? I don't like fish or steak, but I am willing to skip a meal so that the rest of the family can eat there as long as it doesn't smell yucky!

Well - I would say that I am going to miss you, but since we talk every day, I will just miss your TR!

great report!! The funniest thing is my name is Megan and my maiden name is Hunter. I got such a kick out of that!

Absolutely loved your trip report - thanks for sharing it. I am new to the site and have only just discovered the trip reports and I am hooked!!!! You sound like you had am amazing holiday and your children are lovely. I keep thinking maybe I should do one too but I am not too sure!

I wondered how you did the autograph books. My DD is 2 and very nervous and I know that she will not be keen with the characters whereas my other DD is 6 and has been before and loves them. Your little one seemed to enjoy doing her autograph book. Maybe a good way of breaking them in. My DD talks about giving Aurora a "cuggle" (!) and also Minnie and it would be a shmae if she didn't do it as she was scared. It was very touching seeing your DD with the characters - especially the aladdin one - that was so sweet.

Thanks again for sharing this. Off to read another one - the housework can wait!

Well, YOU HAVE A PRETTY GOOD EXCUSE!!!:cutie:

I HATE fish. I will not sit next to someone eating it. I don't like to eat at Red Lobster because of the smell. I didn't notice it at all at Coral Reef. Just eat the yummy bread, a good drink and a chocolate wave!!

Thanks for reading Laura!

That's so funny! And we're both from Ohio! What part are you from? Thanks for reading!

Hi Laura! Thank you so much! Writing the trip report was fun and now I have a great detailed journal of our trip which I wouldn't have otherwise. It's also a great way to "meet" people on the DIS!

Megan is pretty shy and did not like the characters at our local amusement park last summer. I wasn't sure what she would do with the characters at Disney. The first characters we met were the mice and she was very apprehensive. The autograph book definitely brought her out of her shell. She caught on quick! Just do some preperation before you leave. We call it desensitization! Familiarize her with the Disney characters through books and videos. Get the free Disney travel DVD and watch it with her. I highly recommend the autograph book. It gives them something to focus on besides the characters size. You can get cute Disney journals much cheaper than the autograph books at the park. Making them was alot of work, but well worth it. Have a fabulous trip!! Thanks for reading!

Hey Monica, it looks like your trip report has gone INTERNATIONAL! :yay:

Hi Laura from Scotland! :wave2:

Sara

Woo Hoo!!

:sad1: Over? It's really over?

Remember when I finished mine and you asked me if I was going to disappear and I emphatically said NO WAY!?!? And look what has happened? But not because I don't want to "be" here.... just so very busy with moving and all.

I just have to tell you that I have loved your TR! Your kids are adorable and you are so funny! It has been so fun reliving your vacation with you! I don't know if I will be able to bear to read about your Dis trip if I don't go.... I would be seething with jealousy! But don't count me out just yet... I'm still holding onto hope that I can swing it! (fingers crossed)

Have you checked out Uncle John's pre-trippie? I'm trying to check in there regularly as I have "Love says" duties to attend to! ;) Kimmy and Michele are there already... c'mom over! (You too Sara, Laura, Nichole and anyone else who knows who Uncle John is!) Clicky clicky!

Fantastic TR Monica , I have enjoyed every bit of it. It is sad that it is all over but the final thoughts. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Thanks,

My computer won't let me link. Maybe one of these other wonderful people can do it for me?:flower3: We need the link for the design boards.

They can be washed, but they do fade a bit. I didn't wash mine again after the design was put on. They were clean. Just a little stiff! I was afraid to wash them! Turn them inside out when you do wash them. I believe the spray paint bottle has washing directions too. Good luck! It's alot of fun!

Okay, found it.:goodvibes
