I saw this referenced in a thread on the restaurant boards....what is the "Disney Beginnings Promotion?"

I just read up on this on allearsnet.com. It gives a good description. It's special plannng for children under 5, character events etc. It looks really cute! :thumbsup2 I think it starts in Sept. Can't wait to back and try it.

There was a detailed description in the AllEars newsletter yesterday - check their site.

Basically it is specialized planning for families with children under age 5. They will have a designated phone # to call, they will receive planning materials targeted at young kids, they will have special access to Fantasy Land at MK one morning (not part of early entry - a different morning). They are kicking it off with concerts by The Wiggles and Doodle Bops in mid to late August. I didn't understand it to be a limited time offer like Free Dining - I took it to be more along the lines of Grand Gatherings.

FYI - I just called and added this package to my Sept-Oct "MYW with Free Dining" package. They just added the "Magical Beginnings" program on to that existing reservation. It didn't change the cost at all. I don't know how much difference it will make, but it sounded like there might be a few cool things available. We'll see, I guess.

HI...where can I read about this on Allears? I looked and tried a search and couldn't find it. I saw an ad in People magazine for this service and went online to the disney site but it really didn't say specifics what you got or what was included...we are going in December with 2 5 yr olds 4 yr old and 3 yr old!!!

thanks
Dawn

Info was sent out in the allearsnet.com newsletter.

You can find lots of info at Disney's site. Try: disneyworld.com/prek OR disneymagicalbeginnings.com OR call 407-WDW-PREK.

I printed off a lot of new and good tips they now have for traveling with the under 5yr old set. They include height requirement list., a packing checklist and tips ans suggestions. Some of this maybe common knowledge, but it prints out on a cute background!! :teeth:

According to allearsnet AND Disney CRO (as of this morning):
"Playhouse Disney in Concert" Series:
The Wiggles will preforming on Aug 29 -Sept 1
Doodlebops have dates in Aug & Sept too, so does the new "Mickey's Magic Show". Other acts dates are TBA.

Fantasyland at MK will open on hour early for little ones on MON, WED & FRI's. Select rides will be open including: Dumbo, Snow White, Philharmagic, IASW, Peter Pan, Pooh.

HOWEVER........ Early hours at Fantasyland and the concert series all END on Sept 30!!!!

So for my travel dates of Sept 29 - Oct 9, this really has no relevance to even change my ressie. It's most beneficial, concert wise, to be traveling late Aug to early Sept.

Hope this helps many!

:thumbsup2

It's also the reason why Jo-Jo & Goliath are the new characters at H&V instead of a boys meal. :sad2:
