My friends went to Disney in June and they brought home the cutest Teddy Bear. I think they got it in EPCOT. The teddy bear has the Mickey logo on its feet. I think they said it came in a few colors. Unfortunaly they did not save the tags of reciept and there are no #'s on it anywhere. The Teddy also came with a little story about Mickey having a friend to share the parks with. I would love to get one of these bears for my new DD but I have no idea how to go about doing this. Anyone have any ideas? Has anyone bought one of these and has the #'s so I can all Disney Merc?? Thanks in advance.

I have one, they were all over WDW when I went in May, if you ask for the Disney Bear I am sure that they will know what you mean, I can look and see if I have the number if you want though.

We bought one at Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney when we were there last year. They had a train engine display set up, with Mickey conducting and the back of the train filled with different colored bears.

Does this bear have the hidden mickey outline around the eyes and nose of the bear? If so, it's called a Mickey faced bear and the merchandising folks are bound to know what that is. I hope this helps. Mickey

OK, just got mine and checked it. It's called 'Disney Bear' (ours in 'mint' colored, a pretty teal), and here is the story from the storybook that came with it:

One night before the park opened, Mickey was sitting by the castle. The rest of his friends had not arrived yet, so Mickey brought his favorite teddy bear to keep him company.
Mickey was so excited to be in such a magical place that he wished he had somebody to explore the park with. Suddenly, Tinker Bell flew down out of the starry sky and saw Mickey sitting there with his stuffed friend. She had heard Mickey's wish and sprinkled the bear with Pixie Dust. The Pixie Dust filled the bear and he miraculously came to life!
Mickey was so excited and happy, that he gave his bear a hug. As soon as Mickey hugged the bear a magical Mickey head shaped impression appeared on the bear's face, forever bonding him to Mickey.
From that moment on, Mickey haad a very special friend to share all his magical memories.

Along with the HM on the bear's face, there are Mickey faces on his feet and his backside. He was $22.00 when we bought ours last year.

We also ordered two Disney Bears through Merchandising. I just had to ask for the Disney Bear; didn't need a sku or anything. HTH! :)

Bought one for DD this past trip. On our last day we stopped at the Outlet Mall and they had the "LIME" Green one for sale!

DD said Lime Green isn't for Bears!LOL

Scratch
:smooth:

BTW the bears are $25.00 this year and at the Outlet $8.99 for the Lime Green one!

There are some shops at MK that sell them also. I bought a purple one. 25.00

Due to the response to the huggability of 'The Disney Bear' WDA Merchandise has begun selling a new, more huggable line of character plush. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, the Pooh characters, and more are getting the snuggle treatment!

The Disney Bear can be found all over WDW. The easiest location to find is Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney Marketplace.

LOVE HIM!!!!
When I went in the spring with my 2 DDs....we bought 3.
One for each DD and one for a gift for a DD's friend that was having a baby.:)
Well, now my oldest DD is expecting and when we go in Oct...we will be buying another!!! Maybe even 2....
My youngest DD "shares" hers with me.....
One night when I was not feeling well, she brought him into my room to "keep me company" :D Ever since then, we have to share because he is so soft and cuddly!!!!!!!

Cindyfan what a great little girl your DD is!!!! Thank you all for the info. I am so excited to get one of the bears for DD. I think now I am going to wait until we get to the park so we can let her have it in her stroller. I think it will be FUN for her to get a souviner even though she will only be a few months old. Thank you for all the great info. I am happy to hear they are easy to find. I thought they were only available in one park and in one store that is why I was going to order one. :earsboy:

I bought the brown bear in a laying down position at the outlet for $6.00 in August. He has the same face and his paws and '"rear" have a Mickey on them. He is very similar to the colored ones they sell at the park, just this one lays instead of sits.

Safari Steve, does that mean these are already available, or are they "coming soon"?

They are here.
A friend at work has an eeyore.
Fantasy Faire has shelves full of donalds.

Thank you for the info! Something else to look for next month (provided Eeyore is grey, LOL!) :)
