Hello all,

Does anyone know if booking a 2 bedroom suite at the beach club resort is the same as a 2 bedroom beach club "villa"?

Thanks, Lin :cool1:

I hope this helps. We've stayed in a 2 bedroom suite at the WL and then upon coming DVC members, stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at the BC.

The villa had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, two full baths.

The suite (although it was WL) was more like a hotel room. It was nice, spacious, etc. Did not have a full kitchen and, of course, no w/d.

Having our own w/d completely transformed the way we pack when traveling to WDW. I am spoiled rotten now!

Hope this helps.

Thank you Patti,

When staying at the BC; was there long walks to transportation and elevators? In your 2 bedroom suite villa how many beds did you have? The info I've found states, 1 king and 1 queen. Is that correct? Although I'd love to have the W/D I think my family would not appreciate roll out sofas to sleep on.

Thanks for your input, Lin :cool1: from sunny California

Disneyland is great, but nothing can compare to WDW

I haven't stayed at the BCV, but looking at my Passporter, it shows the layout of the 2 bedroom suite. There is a kitchen/living room with a separate (Master) bedroom that has one king size bed. The "second bedroom" is actually a connecting studio....the equivalent of a regular hotel room. TV, sitting area, bathroom and ONE queen size bed. They say they sleep up to 8 people, so that would mean two people on the fold-out couch in one room, and two people on the fold-out couch in the other room.

The Villas have two elevators that are located so that the walk from them isn't too far to any room, but it is a bit of a walk to the bus transportation, near the lobby, and a bit of a walk to the boats to MGM and Epcot. It would be faster to walk to Epcot from the Villas. The monorail is at the entrance to Future World in Epcot, so that's a long walk.

Hope this helps some.

There are also some "dedicated" 2 BR villas at BCV that have two queen beds in the second bedroom. A dedicated 2 BR means that the second bedroom is not a connecting studio. I believe only 25 of the dedicated 2BRs have two queens though and those rooms are booked in a seperate category so if you book it, you get it. At least that is true if booking through DVC.

I know exactly what you mean about the sofabeds.

Anyway, in our 2BR BCV there was one king in one room, 2 Dbls in the 2nd bedroom. And the living area had a sofa bed. Which my son did sleep on but he's 12 so it didn't bother him.

Oh yes, your family would appreciate the w/d. And the full kitchen.

The MBR had a huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The other bedroom had it's own bathroom.

From where our room was located it was not a far walk to the elevator - depending on what you mean by "far". Down the hall, around the corner.

Plus, we actually enjoy walking to Epcot. You won't believe it but just about every time we did - we'd meet characters on the walkway from the villas to Epcot. Once both Mulan and Snow White were just standing there chatting. No people around! We just froze! LOL

My husband went for a run on the treadmill at BCV and ran next to Robert Duvall! That's the same trip we ran into Adam Sandler on the monorail! You never know who you'll meet. (So always wear lip gloss)

Patti

Let me know what you decide. And I'd love to hear about your trip! :guilty:

No, I don't think they are the same. The DVC villas are in a seperate building that was built later. The two bedroom villas will have a full (but compact) kitchen and stacked washer/ dryer.

Here is a description from allearsnet of the two bedroom suite at BC:

Two Bedroom Suite - an expansive living room distinguishes this suite which features two bedrooms. The parlor is perfect for informal meetings and has a wet bar and a daybed sofa. The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and a spacious closet. An additional bedroom, which can accommodate up to 5 people, is furnished with 2 queen size beds and a daybed sofa. (several available)

The Two-Bedroom Villas provide an additional bedroom with a private bath, one queen-size bed, and a double sleeper sofa. The 2 Bedroom villas accommodate eight adults plus one child under age three in a crib. The Master suite has a king-size bed and private bath with a whirlpool tub. There is a Fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans in living room and each bedroom, stack-style washer and dryer, color cable television with DVD player in living room and color television in each bedroom, queen-size sleeper sofa in living room and a private balcony or porch. Some of the Two-Bedroom Villas are dedicated (entities unto themselves) and some are "lockouts" meaning a one-bedroom and a studio are combined for a two-bedroom.

You can see villa photo's at this link:

I'm wondering if you will get concierge service with the BC 2 bedroom suite?? I would think so.
