Does anyone know if there are Disney beach balls available at WDW? My son is obsessed with balls, and beach balls are one of his favorites, so I thought it'd make a great souvenier and toy to use while we're down there- especially since it will hardley take up any room in our suitcase. If they do make them, what characters have you seen? :sunny:

Well they do have those fabric balls that you put a balloon in. They are really cool buy way more expensive than a beach ball. I think we got the medium sized one and it was around $20???? That may have included the extra balloons. Really easy to fit in the suitcase. I can't remember all the characters they had. We got one with lots of Pooh characters. I think they had ones with just Pooh and know they had Mickey and Mickey and gang but can't remember them all.

Back in 2001 I got a Tigger mini basketball at the Disney outlet down there and they sold them deflated.

I've never heard of the fabric balls, what exactly are they?

They have them in Epcot and I think at the entrance to Toon Town. They are a ball made out of fabric with a small hole in them that is finished like you would a button hole. Through that hole you put in a balloon (I got mine when I purchased the ball so I'm not sure if the balloon is stronger than a regular balloon-it is NOT like a punching ball). You blow up the balloon and instead of knotting it off you just stick the end under. They are really fun because they are so light. You can also put a bit of water in the balloon to add to the fun but I haven't tried that.

I'll try to take a photo of ours for you this weekend and I'll see it I still have the package to see if I can find a website link.

I bought a beach ball at all star movies for 5.00 dollars in their gift shop :rotfl:

YIPPEE!!! Thank you all of you, and I would love to see those pictures, I think he'd love that, since he also loves balloons... (and eggs and circles) I guess he likes round(ish) things!

When I saw this post I couldn't believe it!!! This is something that I can certainly relate to because I have a son that absolutely adores balls!!! He is 12 now but this has been going on for the past 11 years. He has just always loved them and he seems to always have one in his hand.

We have one of the fabric covered balls that lovesdumbo mentioned with Mickey on it. We also have several Disney balls that we found at Team Mickey which is located at Downtown Disney. Those include several sizes of basketballs, a dodgeball type ball and way too many baseballs with Disney characters on them to try and list. We also have a ball from Epcot that has all the countries flags on it. The ones mentioned above are just the ones we have from Disney World it would take me all night to list all the balls we have in our collection!!!

I'm sure you will be able to find the perfect one at Disney! We have never failed to come away with at least one!!!

We have quite the ball collection too, and he is only one and a half! My dad bowl's on a league every Wednesday night, and they have a claw machine with the smaller dodgeball type balls in it, so he gets him a new one every week... My mom can't take him anywhere without buying him one, the kid is spoiled!

Thanks princesslulu! Since people are mentioning specific resorts, does anyone know if they sell them at OKW?

Does he like donuts too? :rotfl:

I haven't had a chance to take a photo but here's a link to the website. If you click on the distributor link you'll see a small photo of the balls at Disney. I'll try for a better photo later this weekend.

Fabric Balls

I love that your DS has a passion. My DD(2) has a passion for anything with big eyes or teeth-frogs, owls, dinos, sharks...she leaves the princess passion for her Dsis and cars for Dbro.

not sure if they are stilling doing it but you used to get beach balls with your towels at the Disney store. I have a ton of them still in the bags and use them as prizes

He likes anything with sugar (what kid doesn't) but no particular fascination with donuts, I don't think he's seen them more than once or twice... Thank's for the link, I remember the commercials for them! Kids are so funny with their "passions", they pick some silly things!
