Can someone tell me about the Disney Awards I keep reading about? What is it???

DisneyAwards is an AWARDS program where you do searches and other things for entries into a drawing every month for a chance to win Disney Prizes.
Prizes include Hopper Passes, Disney Dollars, Gift Certs. etc.

I just found out about DisneyAwards, and was trying to get signed up...but it keeps saying the server is down. Is there a problem with it right now...will it be up soon? I'm really wanting to join! We are planning on going to Disney World in Apr 2002!! TIA!!!!

Hi all

Just want to say that it takes me about 5-10 minutes to do disney awards myself unless I stop and poke around in my searchs. I do have a dsl line so that helps. I think there is some misconception about how long it takes to do as those of us who it works fast and easy for are not posting about it like those who have problems do. The program takes a few days to get used to that will take longer but eventually you get into the groove and have no problems at all. Hope this helps someone.

Well Mal, I am skeptical because you read that NO ONE, not no way, not no how, EVER gets discounts for Disney.
The old adage, if it sounds to good .....etc.

I am willing to give it a try, I guess the "hook" would be that you must stay with it for at least 3 months to get a reward????

just my $.02 but willing to give it a go.

by the way, what is Mal doing now that the villans show was canceled???? LOL

Mal,
On most boards people have written that although there are discounts for rooms, airfare and sometimes meals, there are NO discounts for park fees. Therefore, when I read about Disney awards and prizes included 4 day hopper passes -- it sounded too good to be true.
Does that make sense now?

I read through the rules for this program and, correct me if I misunderstood, prizes are given quarterly -- I take that to mean, you do the searches for 3 months and then there is a drawing for the passes. I f I have read this incorrectly and am not understanding clearly, please shed some light on this.

Often the problem with electronic communications is that you cannot see the person and hear the inflections in their tone . I meant absolutely no disrespect or conflict in my reply.

Thanks for any clarification you can give me (it's not every day one meets a "kind" villan) ~~ just don't be offended if you offer me an apple and I refuse LOLOLOL.

that was never an issue I was totally confused by what you wrote.

There are discounts for park fees Dreams unlimited just offered one.DisneyClub offers one.and I beleive there may be a few others.

No you read the rules but your interpretation was off a little. Prize drawings are held every month.But Park Hopper winners must wait for the quarter to actually receive their prize.

there have actually been 3 Park hopper winners so far.One of which has already received their hopper.

The other two won this month.
I was one of May's PH winners.And the other winner was actually a member who no longer participates in the program.

hope that clears up any confusion.

Mal, I really have to sit down and read the rules again for the awards program. I thought you surfed every day for a month, then got put inito a raffle type drawing and then the "biggie" prize was the hopper pass drawn every quarter, aghghghghg.
