Has anyone ever ordered one of the Disney Autograph pillowcases to get character signatures instead of a book?

How did it work out logistically?

I am thinking about it for my DD but don't know if it will be too hard for the characters to handle and sign...

I've not seen the pillowcases before, but I did on my most recent holiday (last week) see a girl getting all of the characters to sign her school backpack and thought that was such a great idea! It looked fantastic as well.

We used a plain pillowcase for signatures some years ago. We just carried the pillowcase folded in a gallon ziplock bag, along with a piece of heavy cardboard. Then when time for autographs, pull it out of the bag, slide the cardboard into the pillowcase and hand to character to sign. It wasn't too bad to carry and it's still one of my little's proudest possessions on a pillow in his room.

Last time we went we bought T-shirt that had the year on it and strapped it tightly over a piece of cardboard and had the characters sign the back of the t-shirt. Kid loved wearing it out to show off. Going again this weekend through the 12th and we have 2 shirts this time with a new kid coming along.

We did a pillow case last year. Bought white cases from Walmart for like $2 then used an embroidery hoop to keep it tight. I used Sharpie Fabric Markers.i kept the pillowcase and hoop In a ziplock and the markers in another ziplock (incase they leaked) in a smaller bag. Then picked out the color I wanted each character to use. I just moved the hoop to a new spot on the pillow when I wanted a character to sign in a different spot.

Oh this is what I want to do this time with our DS 3. I wanted to do it on our upcoming cruise but they discontinued the service ;(

We have done a pillowcase and that is fun. Also, we did a tote bag that we bought for a local craft store for signatures that turned out great. Also, a wood letter of my daughter's initials to sign with Sharpies, and those turned out well too. We used a small wipe board with big clips that fit to hold the pillowcase and tote bag in place.

We did this too. I would add one piece of advice - throw it in the dryer when you get home to heat-set the Sharpie! I didn't know to this, and a couple of the signatures on ours faded or smudged a bit the first time we washed it.

We did this on a trip a couple of years ago. We didn't have as much luck as the previous posters. We used a white pillow case attached to a sewing ring with cardboard backing and clickable sharpies. The characters seemed to have a hard time signing on the fabric and we were trying to do 2 for our 2 kids at the time and it was more of a hassle than it was worth. We went back to books by the second day. My Mother-in-law was doing one as well and she finished the week with it. She did away with the sewing ring and held the pillowcase taught on the cardboard as the character signed, that seemed to work a little better. We just felt it was to troublesome and time consuming.
