The kids want to collect autographs from characters on our Disney trip, but after much shopping we have been unable to find what we want around here to make one. Has anyone bought an autograph book recently while at Disney World and know the prices and best places (meaning easiest places) to get them? We want books with places for signatures and pictures. Thanks!

You may also want to consider characters signing photo mats, pillow cases, tote bags, or t-shirts.

We found $2.50 frames and decorated them. Can't wait for the pics to get here (off photopass) to finish the projects.

O, also, hats have been used! There is a picture floating around the board somewhere...really cute.

We bought ours at the gift shop in our hotel (Coronado Springs) the girls picked out a Tinkerbell one and a Princess One..both were around $15 each I think...they also both got pens to match for another $4 each I believe. Theres has both places for pics on the left and autos on the right...most of the ones I saw at WDW were that way.

We did hats..I have boys and they loved having the characters sing their hats. We picked them up at Wal-Mart in Kissimmee, they have a lot of Disney stuff at Wal Mart Prices, I am sure you can pick up an album there too. Sorry probably not a lot of help.

Oh the click sharpie markers work the best so you don't have to mess with the tops.

One thing to consider with the combination photo/autograph autograph books is that the number of pages inside is very limited -maybe 25 pages or less.

If you're planning on getting a lot of signatures, maybe you want one of the photo autograph books (which I think are $12.95 plus tax) and then one of the "regular" autograph books (about $6.95 plus tax). You can find the books EVERYWHERE -at the airport, at the hotels, in the parks, etc.

Michaels art and craft store here has a lot of Disney stuff in the dollar section including princess autograph type books with a pen included! Picked up some other discounted Disney trinkets for sixty cents each . Things like sticker books and pens etc for the plane ride down. They also have the traditional Disney autograph books at the park gift shops and resort gift shops.

I found books at the dollar store last time we went but they don't have them this year. My daughter wants to do autographs again this year but my boys would rather be on the rides they are older ten and eight my daughter is six.

I want some autographs for scrap book so I am taking card stock and sharpie to have them sign for me for my scrap book.

Am I silly for doing this or does other adults have them sign things for them ?

My oldest son wants to wear a white tee shirt to have them sign I told him he could put it in the bag but he was not wearing that shirt everyday for them to sign SMILE

We had a picture taken of us all at Magic Kingdom in front of the castle.
Picked up the photo as soon as it was ready (can't remember how long that takes). Then had all the characters sign the front of that photo. It really turned out great and is now in a scrap book for our DS to see for many years to come.

I love getting the signatures, and I'm 38. Not sure if I qualify as an adult, though.

7 years ago, I bought a straw hat with an olive brim in the World of Disney store in DTD -- I got a gold sharpie and got the characters to sign the brim. I'll see about getting a picture of it uploaded (I still use the hat). I know I have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Chip & Dale, Snow White, Hook & Smee, Tweedle-dee and -dum, and probably others on there.

I see pleanty of adults getting autographs.

The characters will NOT sign something you are wearing.

I used to do autograph cards-4x6 index cards with clip art but that was a bit of pain to get out the clip board and find the right card-I had them sorted in a coupon sorter. The nice thing was that I could put the index cards into a photo album with a picture from the greet.

The last few trips I've printed clip art onto 5x8 index cards and have Staples bind it for me. I make a cover with photos from prior trips and have Staples laminate that. The last one I made I sorted the cards by what park I thought I meet the characters in and put a laminated divider page for each park. So I had 6 laminated pages-front, back, 4 parks. They were able to laminate 2 5x8 on one sheet so the book cost me $3 for laminating ($1/page) and $3.50 for binding. Plus the cost of the 5x8 index cards and toner for my printer. I also added a page for each Epcot country in the back and blank pages in the middle.

My youngest dd filled hers and we had to buy another one last trip. This time we are going to make our own books with cardstock.

I have a 3 yo son. He likes to watch Chuck E Cheese from afar, but won't get too close. We are doing a character breakfast to get him some more relaxed time with the characters.

Do you think the autographs are something a 3yo would be interested in? I am pretty sure he will flip over McQueen and Mater, but not sure he's going to want Cinderella's.

I would rather show up prapared than spen $15 on a souvenir he may not use.

You can buy a 4 x 6 spiral bound book of perforated index cards for $3 or $4. We had the characters sign the back of the cards (no lines). After the autograph, I took a pic of my DD with that character. When we got home, I pulled the index card out, placed it in one of those cheap-o photo books with the picture on the other side of the page. If you scrap, then you can do individual pages with the signature and the photo.

I personally didn't like the idea of the permanent bound autograph books.
