Disney Auditions

i love checking this site out when i'm bored. what i find interesting is this

Vocalists to portray Peter Pan/Quasimodo
For: Disney Cruise Line
Audition City: New York, New York
Location: Pearl Studios
Looking For: Singers

what are they doing with quasi??? hunchback show on one of the new ships?! nah... i can only dream.

seeking Rapunzel look-alikes?

okay time to find a ride to Orlando.

5'4"-5'7"
(I'm 5'4"-5'5", woo~)

I've also got the freckles, round face, and hazel-y eyes.

One more year...

Disney Princes and Princesses, including Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, Ariel, Snow White and their handsome Princes. Females: 5'3" - 5'7"

called it. And I'm 5'3" so that's perfect, since I probably won't grow more than a few inches more...

I've auditioned before and got "pooled".
It is an amazing experience, and probably one of the coolest auditions i've ever beed to.
I'm 5'7" so I'm at the cut off point for Princesses and the starting point for Villains! :)
But keep in mind. Disney casting is VERY particular about their face characters, and before you can become a face character, you are trained in fur.

The only Disneyland Paris audition is in Hollywood for some reason O_o None in the UK...

Current entertainment CM's can go to HKDL, DLP, or TDL on a contract. The contract usually lasts about 6-9 months and the CM lives in that country. They usually have some near DL or WDW so CM's can audition. Also i know there is at least one London audition a year or so.

Disney Character and Character Look-alike Performers
For: Disney Cruise Line
Audition City: New York, NY
Location: Ripley Grier Studios
Looking For: Disney Character Look-alikes and Disney Character Performers

Yes! I could be a princess! I'm 5'7! I could be Sleeping Beauty (:

Show and Parade Movers:

My goal!!! ^

Hello everyone!!! I'm brand new to to DisBoards. I'm a freshman in HS and will be auditioning to be a Disney World Character for summer 2012.

A few questions....

1. When should I audition to work summer 2012?

2. If anyone has auditioned, what pantomime parts did they give you? Because I have become a bit obsessive with practicing things like "changing a flat tire", "catching a butterfly", "making a sandwich", etc., and I need some new ones!! :P

3. What did you wear to the audition?

4. How many people showed up, and out of those people, how many do you think were cast?

5. I'm 5"3 & 3/4". I haven't grown a bit in a long time, so thinking I will stay at this height. I'm 95 pounds. What characters could I play?
(my face: thin, heart shaped, small-medium sized nose, medium sized
blue eyes, just got braces off so good teeth, regular lips, light eyebrows)

Thanks in advance! And sorry if I am pestering you, but I want all the info I can get!

OH! And one more thing! I am not a very good dancer.... AT ALL. Would "Zumba" for Wii and "Dancing With the Stars Ballroom Dancing" for wii be good tools to help me improve and acquire some sense of rhythem?!

THANKS!

I was given the special hot line number for a private try out a couple of years ago at a Disney workshop. They brought in a recruiters and all and said because of my age I had enough time to be a big time threat come when I turn 18. Two of my former coaches were Disney characters an I learned alot from them about how to make it into Disney corporation to become a character. I was scouted in 9th grade at a performance in Disney and told I could be the next big thing. From my understanding from meeting with the recruiters is that dance is alot of it also musical theatre is another major role. There really looking for a triple threat thats what alot of girls I know working for Disney now adays are. If you want to make I would reccomend joining a musical theatre type group that acts and such thats one of the major reasons why I was thought to be a threat is the fact that my vocals are getting stronger and stronger I've danced and did gymnastics since I was 3 and I'm a pretty strong actor when I need to be. From my understanding to make it into Disney you have a better chance if you have been scouted in the past and invited back for a private audition thats how all the girls I know have done it in the past.

I'd love to audition but my best bet is being on a student program to be able to work at WDW. And if the audition for DLP is in California then that seems just a little strange :confused3

1. When should I audition to work summer 2012?
ASAP!!!! But be aware. They are over hired and you may get pooled unless you are what they absolutely need.

2. If anyone has auditioned, what pantomime parts did they give you? Because I have become a bit obsessive with practicing things like "changing a flat tire", "catching a butterfly", "making a sandwich", etc., and I need some new ones!! :P
I was told not to go into much about the audition. I can not tell you specifically but go toward more complex pantomimes like at a party or something like that.

3. What did you wear to the audition?
Yoga pants, workout shirt (under armor would work.) and dance shoes

4. How many people showed up, and out of those people, how many do you think were cast?
I think there were 40 people there. Idk how many were cast but i know of one person pooled for a fact (me lol)

5. I'm 5"3 & 3/4". I haven't grown a bit in a long time, so thinking I will stay at this height. I'm 95 pounds. What characters could I play?

Nobody can answer that question since nobody is in casting. Casting has a range what they are looking for and are specific about what they look for in a person. Sorry

Basic dance skills is all i'm allowed to say.

THANKS!

Answers are in red. Sorry for the lack in info but Disney is very secretive about their auditions and character performers. Good luck.

I want to cry. I had to miss today's DCL audition here because of school stuff.

I'm 5'1-5'2, 107lbs, blonde, grey eyes that change shades, freckles.

Dang it...

I'd love to be a CM, but I can't sing and I don't really look like any of the characters.
