Hi,

What do you wear in the summer while at disney?
do you think women should wear bikini tops or not?

I usually wear tank tops and linen or cotton skirts- cool and comfortable. Usually I bring a hat too, to keep the sun out of my eyes. I would have to say no to the bikini tops- it's against WDW dress code, and you might not be allowed in the park.

Tanks and shorts with elastic waist bands for all those Mickey Bars :lmao:

IMO, bikini tops are for swimming and the beach. In a bikini top you are basically not dressed.

I am glad they don't allow bikini tops, but I'm kind of a prude. Sleeveless is as close to undressed as I'll be getting in public. :)

Don't need anyone seeing my ****s and have little interest in seeing other people's. :)

To me, a bikini top is not a shirt and shouldn't be worn to the theme park. I will wear a tank top or t-shirt with shorts or capri pants to the park.

I personally think every woman who has the body for it should be wearing bikinis everywhere... :woohoo: But hey I'm a dirty old man. :rotfl2:

Bikini tops are for the water parks not for the theme parks. If you wouldn't wear it to the mall/movies/grocery store/etc... you shouldn't wear it at the parks.

:sad2: man...some people are so desperate to get on a board they will post just about any question,comment...
i dunno...maybe its just me....:scared1:

Bikini tops may be against the dress code, but I see bikini tops on pretty much every visit.

Sometimes pleasing to the eye, sometimes not.

It is so fun to people watch in the summer at WDW. There are a lot of inappropriate outfits even if it doesn't involve a bikini top. :scared1: Some can pull it off, others not so much  .

But it IS hot so I do understand wearing very little. I usually wear a tank top and shorts (or a short skirt). It is really too hot for anything more than that.

Have to agree with others-bikini tops aren't my choice for parks. JMHO. I wouldn't dream of speaking for other people. To each their own.

I agree with the train of thought that that bikini tops belong at the beach, pool or swim park - not an amusement park.

I wear sun protective clothing - long sleeves, pants. :)

I'd say no to bikini tops, I don't actually know the rules on clothes though.

Since I live in Florida I have definately become smart about dressing comfortable to stay cool. The best advice I can give you is to go to Target and head to their exercise clothing section. Buy some shorts and shirts made of "coolmax" or "wicking" material. Even when you sweat, the moisture will wick away leaving you dry and comfortable! You could get soaked on splash mountaina nd be dry in 10 minutes of sunshine. Target has cute stuff that is very reasonably priced!

Sun protective clothing also tends to be very light (though the Coolibar clothing isn't as light as what I have purchased from Stingray and Solumbra).

AMEN sister. A bikini top would only be appropriate at the water park!:sad2:

I wear shorts and tanks or shorts with sleeveless. I do like collars on my shirt that way my lanyard (for pin trading) doesn't rub my neck.

I wouldn't wear a bikini top anywhere....not after my list kid....yikes!!! So...I am not the one to ask about that!

NO You should not wear bikini tops even if you look like Pamela Anderson. And for the men getting excited MOST of the women going to Disney do NOT have the body for this. So instead we are treated to Rosanne Barr in a bikini top (before the weight reduction surgery!)

You should also not wear your swimsuit as a top, even if it is a one piece. The park is not a swimming pool
Target sells a great sports bra by Champion with cool max. Wearing this under your clothing is much better then a swimsuit.

IMHO, expecially if you look like Pam Anderson! (too big and fake).

I like the Target Champion sports bras - I have 4 or 5 of them. They have nice, thick straps too.
