DW and I just returned from a perfect 5 day trip to BWV to celebrate our 30th anniversay. I would be hard pressed to find anything to complain about as even the weather cooperated which is unusual this time of year.

My only complaint is that our room ....ate my jeans !!!

I took off my jeans when we arrrived in our room on Saturday and put them in one of the drawers in the TV/bureau stand. Over the next 5 days, I opened the drawers many times to take out and put in clothes. On our last morning, I took out the jeans to wear home and while walking to the bus, my wife looked at my jeans and they were...shreaded..like someone had sliced them with razor blades again and again. There were 8 long slices of more than 3 inches each on the left thigh. It took me a few minutes to think about what had happened and all that we could come up with is that the drawer guides must have sharp edges and they sliced up my jeans...there simply is no other explanation. The jeans were fine when I put them in the drawer and my leg was uneffected so the slices could not have happened while I was wearing the jeans.

Has anyone ever heard of something like this happening before ?

I had something similar happen years ago at a non-Disney resort. I blame myself because I stuffed as much as I could into the drawer and assume this caused part of the garment (in this case a golf shirt) to hang over the side of the drawer and get caught in the edge of the guide. It was on the collar and looked like a dog had chewed on it for a few hours.

Or the most obvious...you've had a visit from Stitch!

Bad Stitch! You know denim gives you wind!

Maybe it was a mouse? They say it all began with a mouse :)

:rotfl: Any wife will be able to relate to her husband being clueless about some things that they wear...

OMG!!!! When I read this I couldn't stop ROFLMAO! So so true!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

OP, sorry to hear about the shredded jeans. Like you and others suggested, it sounds like they could have gotten caught in the track of a drawer. Did you talk to the front desk or a CM about it?

Of course being WDW it could have been Stitch, a mouse, or even pirate: pirates? pirate:

I should have known that I would take some flack about not noticing the jeans when I put them on, but they were not noticable when standing because I had a shoulder bag draped in front of them and a jacket hanging on the bag which also covered up the jeans. I also did not have time to go back and mention it to the front desk as we were getting on the DME bus heading to the airport.

So...where are all of my male "buddies" out there to defind me against this onslaught of "clueless husband" women ????

Sorry abner1776, in your defense I'll say that I do know a number of men who are quite concerned when it comes to dressing carefully and neatly--my BIL is the one who picks his boys' clothes and is very particular about them looking good. I just have to chuckle because too often my DH is not paying attention to his clothes.

Also I'm not blaming you for not having talked to the desk or a CM about it, I was just wondering what they might have said about it.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY:thumbsup2 Wow 30 years..that is amazing.

My 9 year anniversary is today and we are heading to the world in less than 24 hours:banana:

Very understandable. Although if it was my husband, I wouldn't let up for weeks. :rotfl: He insists that he is not clueless. He just has better things to do than to make sure his clothes fit or match.;) :rotfl:
