Disney at Christmas... perfect, Disney with friends...priceless! A December 2024 Susan and Caroline adventure! updated x 3 and complete 07/01!

I was excited to see Susan in the morning and I knew she did not get much sleep arriving in the wee hours.

We had a fun day planned at MK! We didn’t rush too much this morning.

I was really happy to see Susan again!

We certainly had a great MK morning! Who needs sleep at Disney!

I got yet another delay notice so consoled myself with another beverage. We finally left Pearson at 11:55 pm!!

It was nice that you had some "friends" to help pass the time. But a three-hour delay is brutal, especially one that is late I night. That is way past my bedtime.

Of course I had to have a picture of the Christmas tree.

The airport looks like a ghost town.

That's the right attitude...I can sleep when I'm dead or not at Disney. Disney - the only vacation you take where you come back MORE exhausted than when you left AND you still love every second of it and keep paying for it over and over and over.

Oof, that’s a rough travel evening, Susan! I’m glad you found some folks to chat with and pass the time. It’s getting harder for me to function on little sleep (thanks, aging), but I’m willing to do it at Disney World!

I am a 9:00 or 9:30 bedtime girl at home so I was out of sorts for sure. I did manage to sleep a little on the plane thankfully.

Pretty much only staff around. And the other poor unfortunate souls deplaning from delayed flights.

Having some conversation, food and bevvvies definitely made it bearable. Flying is always such a gamble these days.

It definitely wasn't one of my best travels days but I was thankful I arrived safely.

A magical morning in MK!

We were excited to head to MK and take in all the festive decor. It's just so beautiful done up for the holidays.

Naturally I had to have a picture with the toy soldiers after admiring the Christmas tree.

We knew the best way to start the day was a visit with Mickey himself and were pleasantly surprised with only a 10 minute wait.

We had splurged on LLMP for this day but were limited in selections. We had picked Tiana, Winnie the Pooh and Haunted Mansion and hoped for the best with other attractions as it was a party day.

Winnie the Pooh was up first and as always it was fun to visit the Hundred Acre Wood.

We decided to hop on the train to circle back around the park to Fronteirland. Had to a train selfie!


We did standby for the Jungle Cruise and waited about 20 minutes which wasn't too bad. The speaker wasn't working well and it was really hard to hear the skipper. I felt really bad for people further back as I don't think they would have been able to hear anything at all.

After our cruise through the jungle we headed over to get the spring rolls of happiness. Of course they did not disappoint!


We were up for Tiana next and it was fabulous! I love how bright and beautiful everything is in the queue. The level of detailed theming is amazing.

Of course we had to take advantage of the Photopass Photographer nearby....

We hopped into the Country bears show next as we had some till to kill before our Haunted Mansion FP. It's cute but give me the original version any day.

HM was perfection as always. Still my #1 ride in the park.


We had to hightail it out of the park as we had a lunch reservation at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Would we make it in time? That's next!

Those spring rolls always look good, but they don’t have a vegetarian option so I’ve never had them.

Tiana’s looks like a really fun retheme! I’m hoping my LO will be up for it next trip. This time around she’s 39” tall so we didn’t even attempt any of the big rides.

The photo boxes in the character meets are not my favorite but oh my it caught such a cute picture of you! You look like a little girl in awe of meeting Mickey. I look like an old lady hahah

HM was perfection as always. Still my #1 ride in the park.

I love this ride so much. My top 3 in MK are PotC, HM, PPF!

I see that you were in the last seat. It is the driest one. We had that seat in August and hardly got wet at all.
