Disney at Capacity for Fireworks?

Now that I've seen the size of the conference that will be happening while I'm in Disneyland I'm a little nervous about getting our spot for fireworks. I know a lot of people come into the park just for that. What are the chances that if we leave CA at 8pm when it closes and come over to DL that it will be at capacity and we won't be allowed in? (BTW our fastpass running is coming over to DL at 7pm with towels to lay out our spot and the fireworks start at 9:25pm that night).

Yea the Gay Days conference attracts large crowds... 30,000 people last year!

Oh, I didn't say, oops, I meant to put the date. It's the last weekend in September. 26 & 27.

I have never once heard of DLR closing in September due to capacity. Chances are slim to none that you will experience a gate closure, even with a large conference in town.
