Hi All,
Do you have to be US resident to buy Disney Annual pass please?

If British can buy - where are most of you buying from?Is it saving you money?

Thanks,
Lynn

You can buy if you are UK. I buy direct from Disney, currently via DVC to get the DVC members discount. We used to buy it and then plan two trips in a 12 month period to maximise the savings. If you stay offsite one of the benefits is free parking at the parks - which adds up to quite a saving over a trip.

It works best if you can overlap trips. i.e. go the end of august one year and the begining of august the next. We tend to buy the PAPs as we go to the water parks and pleasure island. You can buy them at guest services at the parks. :cool1:

We have AP's we buy them at guest services, and renew online. It works out well for us, it lets us buy the DDE that gives us 20% off food and drink at table service restruants, free parking if we are off site, and at a renewal of $399, (not the PAP), it works out at only a little more than the 14 day ultimate pass.

If you stay onsite you may also get accomdation discounts, but this is not guranteed and you have to be flexable with it.

It saves me oodles of money if I time it right.

It covered a 23 night trip in Dec 04 and a 20 night trip in August 05 :thumbsup2

It saved me lots of money at the World Of Disney Store in DTD :)
50% off mini Golf
Disney Dining Experience saved me about $250 and is still vaid for my trip next month when I anticipate another $50 savings or so
The flexibility it allows suits us perfectly - we can pop into a park for a meal without feeling we have "wasted" a day's pass.

There are other discounts too but those are the ones which I use :)

mine runs out in december, can i renew it now? and still have it run till december 2007

Yes - renewal runs from the expiry of the old ticket. Not aware of a time limit for renewing - know I have done it 4 months in advance. Suspect Disney like to get the money asap!

We have had a few annual passes and tend to go in October one year and September the next year, therefore getting two 14 day trips from one pass. We have managed to get 35 days use :cool1: from one pass when we also went for a week in February for DW's 40th birthday. Now we get the DVC discount it's even better value for us. We've always ordered ours over the 'phone and received a voucher - you take the voucher, along with some photo id (driving licence or passport) to guest relations - if you've got the DVC discount you will also need to take your DVC membership card with you.
