Yes, I have. WDW is my "home" resort. I purchased mine at WDW, and just used it again on my DL trip returning last week. I had no problems entering the parks. The only thing I kept getting was "Where is your picture?" I had to keep telling the CM's they don't take your picture in FL. Other than that, it was fine. I wish WDW used the picture/scan system like DLR. At WDW, you put your ticket through the turnstile, and then use the finger scan.

I wonder if because I got mine activated in DLR, it had issues. Our PP's don't have our picture on them either, but our pictures are in the "system" so when they scan our passes, our pics show up on the screen.

The discounts were different. Most of the CM's were having trouble getting the discounts to appear. They scan everything at DLR, so I don't know if it was because mine was from FL. One (1) of the CM's did say the pass was so new they have not updated their system yet. I did get all my discounts, though.

Same here. We had no problems getting our discounts in WDW, but here @ DLR, they can NEVER get discount to work and have to call a lead for help. I think DLR is just not set-up for the PP.

I had no trouble getting the discounts at any establishment at DTD, except the WOD. They don't scan your pass . It worked fine at Goofy's Kitchen, too. The WOD had to call a supervisor to get the discount to work.

Actually, at WDW they enter the discount with the press of a button. Since passholders are treated the same (don't know about FL resident passes), they probably won't need to update their system.

I have not used mine at WDW yet but I will this Oct. Here at DL I am not really having any problems. When I eat most of the times it has the Club 33 discount. I think twice it has come up as a Premier Pass.

Next week I will have used mine on both coasts. And as others have stated, there was no issue getting discounts at WDW. Actually many CMs were very interested in the pass as they had never heard of it before.

Should I consider buying the TIW card when I go to WDW? I know that it makes a big difference if you order a lot of different food and drinks at the resort. But for $75, it is a lot of money to buy another card when I have an AP. Right now I have two dine in at WDW (Coral Reef and Chef's Mickey Breakfast) and possibly eating at a lot of counter service stands.

See here is the problem. You will not break-even right now with the two places you have booked if you by a TIW card. I have one and it turns out to he cheaper than the dinning plan as we don't usually get a appetizer. The problem lies here: the discounts for dinning at WDW are very few and far between. You will not get any type of discount at the counter service places. It is not like here at DL were you get a discount almost everywhere.

Woah! Just to get this straight - the TIW takes 20% off your entire bill, including the alcohol??? This would definitely be worth it, as DBF and I like a drink with dinner, and if I feel like a frou frou drink, they are always like $12 each.

Also, The Premier Pass is good for 15 months, not 12 like the other APs?

Yes you get the discount off the whole bill. So if you are drinking, you get a discount with TIW.

That what I thought, my DA told me that I should not do this because we are not eating at enough restaurants at WDW, but after reading more and more reviews about TIW, I decided not to do buy the TIW card when I go to WDW in December. I just needed more opinions from other DISers. I like the DL AP that has so many discounts at each different restaurants than at WDW.

I'm going to upgrade my premium pass to the premier when I get to DL in October. I thought about upgrading it next month, but it will be best to do it later.

Just remember, if you use your TIW card, they will automatically add the standard 18% gratuity to the bill. Just FYI. It's still a great deal considering most people tip between 15-20%.

Yes, about the TIW tip is included. I could not agree more with you, as a matter of fact I love the fact they put the tip on there. Makes my life easy. As for the renewals, think they will make them 15 months? I hope so, it will make the cost a better deal than it already is.

So, IF (big if, of course), we wanted to upgrade...would the cost of the MYW tix, plus the amount we've already paid towards our premium APs, be deducted from the $700? Then we would pay the difference, upgrade, and the expiration date would be June/July of 2011? Or is it all impossible because we're tied into the payment plan contract?

By my calculations, Undercover Tourist (the cheapest for MYW tix) has a 10-day park hopper for $299, and our APs are $419 to renew. Seems like we'd end up paying the same price (in the long run) for the APs plus the park hoppers, and that's without the water parks and AP discounts.

darn it's not i got excited for a minute 12 months verses 12 lol. Would have made all the drama i went through with it worth it.. BTW now that Disneyland upgraded thier site I can't add my new info( my previous info was deleted) and no longer can I access the ap portion of the site..... SUCKS

If you upgrade an AP which is on a payment plan, you continue to pay on the payment plan and get a credit for hte total price of the AP. If yours were renewals for $419, that is the credit you will get.

Your 10 MYW PH purchased from Disney should be valued at the amount you paid in your package, which is currently $336.54 (with tax). If you have not used it to get into a park, this is the credit you will get.

Because the combined values are more than the $722.75 due for the Premier AP (with tax), you may have a problem "upgrading" to the Premier AP and would, in the best case, lose the additional value.

You might see if you can change your MYW package tickets to something less costly without penalty. The upgrade to the Premier AP would then be a no brainer as it will save you $$ over what you planned to spend at WDW and give you more benefits.

One warning, I have been told that if you use your MYW ticket you cannot get any credit for its cost when combining with a DL AP to upgrade to a Premier AP. So make a plan to upgrade or not before you got to WDW! Best of luck -- Suzanne

That's weird. On the WDW side of the boards, its actually recommended to enter the parks before upgrading any ticket. If you get discounted tickets and upgrade prior to using them, you only get credit for the price you paid. If you use them first, you get credit for the WDW value.....

We just got back from a 10-day trip to WDW and had to "reactivate" our PP there. They've worked just fine at DLR, but when we tried to enter MK on our first day, my DD's worked just fine however mine, my DS and DH were "inactive". Had to go to Guest Relations to have them "reactivated". Thankfully we had a lead who was familiar with the process.

I know others have already responded to this, but I'll add my recent experience. We were in WDW in March and July, and then DL in August. I used my Premier in July at WDW and August in DL. I love the Premier - I had no problems at either WDW or DL with CMs processing the discounts. On one occasion at WDW and one occasion at DL, the CM was uncertain of how to process it, but got help immediately and completed the transactions. I loved the automatic dining discounts (no TIW required) at DL - wow. And the 20% off merchandise was great (except some CMs required a minimum $10 purchase to apply that, and others didn't.)

When we arrived at DL, no additional activation was required. I don't have a photo in the system since I upgraded from a WDW AP at WDW, but that was not a problem. I occasionally needed to show ID at the turnstiles, and a CM told me I could get my photo taken at the AP processing center if I would like. But I didn't mind just showing my ID - we were only there for three days and it was easy to do.

My husband and our boys have WDW APs (I just got the Premier for the discounts) and they all demagnatize between trips. So we've needed to have our WDW APs reissued - I wonder if that's what happened to Disneyland Mama.

Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this pass!

Enter first, then upgrade is the rule IF you are trying to upgrade a WDW ticket to another WDW ticket. However, if you already have a DL AP and want to use the value of a WDW MYW ticket in combination towards a Premier AP, I have been told that the WDW MYW ticket cannot have been used. It must be an unused ticket (and therefore treated like cash) or you run into the "can't use 2 tickets towards an upgrade" rule. Chesire Figment confirmed this in another post.

If you bought the MYW ticket as part fo a Disney package, you will get the amount you paid Disney as the value on the unused ticket. However, if you bought it from a broker like UT, you only get what the broker paid Disney, which is less than you paid the broker. Definitely not a good deal.

But if you use the MYW ticket first, the deal is worse, as you get credit only for the WDW MYW ticket OR the DL AP, not both, towards the Premier AP.

No one who has activiated or purchase their PP AP's at WDW and used them at DLR has had a problem - it's the other way around. Those who have purchase/activated them at DLR and then used them in WDW who are having to reactivate once they arrive in WDW. And it seems to only be people who received the "complimentary" upgrade are having issues.

What will it cost me to upgrade my DL DAP to the PAP? We have a trip to WDW in December, and would need 4 days worth of hoppers, so I am trying to figure out if I am better off upgrading the DAP or just buying the hoppers we need at WDW.

If we upgrade, then we would probably get another trip in the Spring to WDW.

Also, our DL DAPs were purchased in May, so I am guessing that would be the expiration of the PAP also.

I just called the hotline to see if I could find out the cost difference in my DL PAP and the new Premiere pass. So, no one answers, and they call you back within 48 hours. Some hotline. Can I just assume that the posted value of my DL PAP is what would be used? I do know that when we purchased the PAP that we had GAD vouchers and a DVC discount, so not sure just what value they would use.
