Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge or AK Kidani Villas?

I just booked Kidani for a visit in July. I have stayed at Jambo house and liked it because it was close to the Mara for breakfast but I am just as happy to stay at Kidani. You can also easily walk between Kidani and Jambo so you don’t have to always take the shuttle.

Jambo/AKL is more popular for studios. (Kidani 1BRs and 2BRs have an extra bathroom.) Regardless of whether you stay at Jambo or Kidani, you can use either pool. Park buses pick up first at Kidani.

I agree that renting points is probably unlikely this late in the game.

We have stayed at Jambo, twice, Kidani, once. Planning another F&W trip in October and chose Jambo.
Kidani is certainly nice for the extra bathroom, we were 2 adults, 2 older sons at the time, had a 2 BR, 3 baths, it was wonderful and spacious. LOVELY, enjoyed the Kidani pool, but we missed having Mara as quick serve right there. Certainly you can walk between the two properties, but personally prefer the convenience of Mara, for morning coffee, snacks, lunch, Jambo lobby. One of our trips to Jambo was early December, the Christmas tree and lobby setting was absolutely GORGEOUS! ENJOY your trip!

Stayed at Jambo in September and will be staying for the first time at kidani in August. Very excited! I will miss being close to the Mara though

I like Kidani better too. Don't let the word get out, though! Let's keep it a secret. I want to be able to book at the 7-month mark!

I'm glad you've all had good experiences with renting. I love DVC.
