Disney Angels & The Last Man Standing

Hi gang. I am home and ready for bed. Still a little tired.

I haven't even started shopping for my exchange. To my recipient, don't worry. It will come.

LK, I don't have a clue. If it was an E ticket night, you could just buy an E ticket. Hope Logan feels better soon. I'm sending him hot tea, get well wishes.

E you'll have to take a picture. We want to see you as the evil queen. My DD is going to be Hermione from Harry Potter. I usually dress in black and wear my spider earrings, but that's the extent of my costuming. DS says he might actually dress up if Amy goes trick-or-treating. She can't eat candy, so I think he has designs on her stash. LOL! Actually, her friend is probably having a party, so he won't have to bother.

I got some Christmas shopping done online tonight. Figured as long as I'm holed up here sick, I might as well make myself useful. Every year I swear I'll be done by the beginning of December. I have my lists almost completed, so maybe I'll make that deadline this year. I've made about 8 or 10 purchases so far. That's pretty good for October, right?

Fall break, such as it was in our household, is over. Back to the grind of school and work tomorrow. It's hard to get up so early when you've had a break, but we'll survive.

Mom got home safely from Kansas City. She says Ann and the family were holding up pretty well. Thanks for all your good wishes and prayers. Ann is planning to come visit us soon and I'm looking forward to that, since I didn't get a chance to see her.

We are contemplating where to take our Christmas card photos. It's a tradition for us to take a family photo every fall. Last year we went to the local nature center. We intended to go while the leaves were turning, but we waited about a week too long and they were gone. The pictures still turned out good. This year we are considering dressing in plaid pjs and sitting in front of the fireplace or maybe we'll just pose in a local gazebo (in clothes, not pjs). There is also a cool light display in Chichasha, OK , but we'd have to go when they first open around Thanksgiving and then rush to get the cards out. Anyone else do this? What ideas have you had? We've done ones in front of our house and our tree and my favorite was at WDW, but that one's not an option this year.

Better head to bed. Morning comes early during the school week. Sleep well and Gail, please dream the second part of that dream, okay?

Elaine & LK-I wish I could do that..........we have plans for Saturday though:( DH's best buddy is having a Halloween party.....I have to go with him.

Good morning!

Still no dream updates and I certainly didn't want to get up this morning. It's our first below freezing day in RI and the first person I thought of is Steph heading from the frozen Northeast to sunny Florida! :sunny:

LK - as far as I know Disney offers no reduced admissions. Even on an E-ride night you have to have theme park admission and I also read no more E-ride nights scheduled for the rest of the year. :(

Melissa - EB was a Hermione/Harry mix last Halloween. She certainly looked more like Hermione, including the hair, but she wore Harry's glasses and carried a stuffed Hedwig. Not sure if Matt plans to go trick-or-treating this year but we'll have enough candy from EB's efforts to keep us supplied for a long time. I ususally throw away remaining Halloween candy right before Easter....and vice versa.

We also do photo cards for Christmas but we usually only have the kids in them. More years than not I take the shot in or near the same large tree we have in our front yard...although 2 years ago we were in Orlando in October so I took one in front of a palm tree! Last year they both played in the same soccer league so I took the picture wearing their uniforms.

Wow...I must be awake this morning....I wrote a lot. Have a great day friends....time to wake the daughter!

Good Morning!

Welcome Back Lars!! That weekend sounds wonderful!

Merry, I wish I could start my Christmas shopping, the only problem is I don't have a clue what to buy! It was so much easier when the kids were little.

E, I second that. We want to see the photos!

I finally called DS in France. He was back from the backgammon tournament in Paris, didn't win though.
Next week they are thinking of going to see Italy. His DGF will be on a fall break from classes.

Morning Angels!

MP - haven't started Christmas shopping yet. Still recovering from all the b'days I just had to buy for. Probably will start in the next few weeks.

Gail - how much coffee have you had so far?!:hyper:

Sandi - glad to see the computer working again.

Lars - we'll miss you at the meet.:(

Good morning all!!

I must admit, I am shocked... trick or treating on a Friday night is really frowned upon here. We actually do it about the Weds or Thurs before Halloween. I need to find out though so I can have candy ready for kids :)

I'll try to get a picture of me as the Queen! No promises though because Luis might be working again that day and I may be going solo.

Merry, good luck with the Christmas shopping... I keep telling me I am going to start by the 1st of December ;)

Lars... forget the party... who is more imporant your husband or us ;) :p

Gail, if you are awake this morning, could you share some of that energy with me ;)

Sandi, sorry they didn't win, but so neat that they are traveling like that!

And good morning to everyone else!!!! I hope you all have great days!

We do photo cards for Christmas too. Usually just a picture of the kids I took sometime in the summer but we have used family photos too. Maybe we should start a thread in December and post all our Christmas greetings.

None of us will be dressing up for Halloween this year. There is a football game that night. This will be a big Trick or Treat year with it being a Friday. Unlike Elaine, here they may move the Trick or Treating to the weekend if Halloween is during the week. We won't be home to give out candy though.

Cristmas shopping!:earseek: I still have to do my exchange.:faint:

LK, the Xmas decorations will definately be up by mid November. We were there last year from the 10-18th of November, and they were all up then.

What am I doing here chatting, I have a pink hat to make!!!!

We know the truth but who wants to break it to Matt???:p ;) :p

...of formally starting MY Christmas shopping! Friday night, pixiedust812 and I went to a craft show in Edison, NJ, where I was looking for a parson's bench to put near my front door. Well, last April they were selling for $129. I took a look at the price tag...:faint: they are now $179!!!!! Ugh! Anyhoo, needless to say, I did NOT make a purchase for a bench on Friday. However, I did buy 2 sweatshirts; they are sorta a khaki green with a deer embroidered on 'em (for my 2 older sons). They're hidden under my bed to await wrapping....

Yippee!! My son's peewee football team won again yesterday 20-6. They have to win the next 2 games to be in the play-offs. You just had to see my DH. I think he gets more exited than the kids!! As head coach, if his team wins, he buys hot dogs for all of them!

I can't finish my post without announcing THE YANKEES WON LAST NIGHT 6-1!! Woohoo!!

Good Morning Angels!

Actually, Mrs. AlabamaAlan is concerned because we have normally completed our Christmas shopping by November and haven't really started yet.

However, since it is nearing the end of October, you can rest assured that she is already playing Christmas music in the house!

I refuse to decortate until Thanksgiving weekend though.

Hmmm...Angel dreams...this could get intersting....

Lars - here's your solution. "Matt, of course I was at the party with you! Remember - I wore my invisible woman costume?" That'll work!

Steph - good news from you about the Christmas decorations! I hope you are able to fix that hat up nice and proper according to Miss Meg's specs. :hyper:

Welcome back Alan.

minor crisis here....my hands are now "army man green"....who is the smart-*** that forgot to tell me to wear rubber gloves while dying clothing????

GRRRRRR

Steph - maybe Bo-Peep was rolling around in the grass w/ Mr. Farmer?!:o

Alan - glad to see you are back! We usually start playing Christmas songs in November. We must have 10-15 CD's.

Kimmar - congrats to your DS and DH. has he gotten hurt yet?

Carol - that sounds like an excellent idea for having our christmas pics on a thread. will be easier than trying to get everyone's address.

The boards are stubborn today. :( I'm having trouble reading and posting.

Everyone is back to work and school. It's nice and quiet. I'm trying to get my act together and get some work done today.

I like the idea of the Christmas picture thread. It'd be fun to share with everyone.

Steph, you and SB have me rolling about Bo Peep and the farmer. There are worse things than having green hands, I guess. Hope it all "came out in the wash". :teeth:

there's also a crosstown rivaly game on Halloween,DBF and I have a game plan for dinner just in case of crows(we'll wear our cstumes to karaoke)

We also wait to decorate for Christmas until Thanksgiving weekend but the cd's start playing earlier. I also won't watch Christmas videos until Thanksgiving....except the Home Alone movies that the kids love year-round.

Alan - do you want to be the man of my dreams??? ;)

Interesting costume idea for Lars so she can get to the Pittsburgh meet.:p

Mrs. Green Hands could get together with Mr. Green Jeans....but what would Captain Kangaroo think!
Steph - what airport are you departing from tomorrow, Logan? If you had chosen Green I could have come to wish you Bon Voyage!

Great news about football Kimmar.

Hi everyone :wave2:
