Curious if this relates to current animatronic mapping technology or the "3D" Projection technology used in Jack Sparrow - or something else altogether.

Well my guess is the Pandora part is for wall projections, stuff like you see in the pirates ride in shanghai. The future possibilities are endless though.

This reads no different than when disney switch to nikon cameras to me..

panasonic is going to be the projection supplier to disney. They use lots of projectors and lots of high powered projectors.. I"m thinking how the faces in FEA work, the large bigger than 3 theaters screens in use on pirates in shanghai.. Disney found someone to pay for some expensive parts of the park.
