This past week I booked a cruise for Labor Day weekend, and since that's in the midst of hurricane season, I booked all the extras through Disney: flights, transfers & insurance, so if there are weather-related problems, we only have to deal with Disney.
I've read about Disney Air on these boards a bit, & booking has some differences from what I'd read:
1. We got to choose our specific flights, with no extra fee. (An agent searched for the "best option", & when I had an issue with one flight, she found another for me.)
2. I was able to choose our seats through this agent, although she said the carrier reserved the right to change them (all carriers have that right anyway).
3. I got all of these details (including an email confirmation of them) on the day of booking, 9 months in advance.
4. The prices were reasonable for flexible flights ($421 round trip per person from Texas to Florida). I confirmed that we can cancel the flights with no penalty up to our paid-in-full date.
