Disney After Hours Early Start

So I have attended Disney after hours events before when the park closes at 10pm then the event ran 10pm to 1am. We have always gotten into the park at 7pm.
However tomorrow nights the park closes at 8pm with the After Hours event running 8pm-11pm when can we get into the park? 7pm like normal or 3hrs prior like other after hours nights so we could potentially get in at 5pm?

Pretty sure it's still 7pm, sometimes sometime between 6 & 7pm, but you can't plan ahead for that. Never 5pm.

Yep, they are always 7pm official entry regardless of the actual event time. In practice sometimes they’ll let people in a little early at MKad mentioned, but best to plan for 7.

We arrived around 6:30 for Villians the other night and they already had an Events tapstile open and wristbands ready to hand out. No problem getting in at 6:30.

I apologize for the dumb question...we have AH tickets for MK at the end of March, and the event goes from 10 pm-1 am on the night we have tickets. We have regular park (hopper) tickets for that day, plus the AH tickets. I assume we can just be in the park well in advance of the event? We plan to be at Epcot earlier in the day, and our plan right now is to head back to our hotel to chill out for a bit earlier in the afternoon once we're done at Epcot, and then hop to MK after resting up. I'm hoping we can grab a FP or two at MK after using our three at Epcot earlier in the day, in advance of the event. When we arrived at MK, do we just enter the park like normal? Will CMs know that we have AH tickets via our magic bands, or do we need to do something special for the AH tickets? This is our first time doing this, so I'm not sure how this works when we already have park tickets for that day.

We did AH at AK after already spending a few hours in the park. We just found the location in the park where they were handing out wristbands and scanned our magic bands there. They could see our AH tickets on our account, just by scanning our magic bands. Same at MK the following night. We went from HS on a non-hopper ticket, went to the “Event” tapstile and scanned our magic bands, and were given wristbands. If you get to MK before the Event tapstile is open, then there will be somewhere inside the park for you to get a wristband once it gets closer to party time.
