Disney & Aerosmith

I know this looks rough, but I am a Van Halen fan.... plenty of good songs to hear on the ride.:thumbsup2

Yeah, but would you limit the potential soundtrack to the Diamond Dave years :cool2:, or inlcude Sammy Hagar?

[My personal opinion is that they weren't really Van Halen once Dave was booted, so I am biased.]

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This better be a rumor !
i'm a classic-rock-loving girl and Aerosmith is BY FAR my favorite band.
i cry everytime i go on that ride, it starts when we walk into the pre show, when i see steven and joe talking, i lose it !

PLEASE I HOPE THEY DONT CHANGE IT !!

First of all, I love the ride the way it is and want to see it stay Aerosmith. That said, I don't think I've seen anybody mention Skynyrd yet.

 How about changing the limo to a station wagon and theming it around the National Lampoon Vacation movie? I think that has potential.
That is an awesome idea!!!! Think of all the things they could do with that concept.

You are completely right about this. I am sticking with the idea that a re-tooling of this ride with different band would be sucky, but Van Halen could have been an alternative because they definitely had the hits...I mean...who else over the last 20-30 years? The Rolling Stones, maybe? The Who? But these two still don't have the relevance to the younger generations than VH and Aerosmith.

I had a good 2 hours sitting on the 405 to condsider this thread last night! lol! Here is who I came up with:
Bon Jovi- alot of his music is STILL everywhere today, plus he is nice to look at.
*or*
Kid Rock- Still very relevant today, and his music has cross over appeal to more than just hard rock fans.
*or*
Poison- Bret Micheals is everywhere today and is so much of a fame***** he would probably do it in a minute! Just imagine all the bandanas they could sell!
*AND*
While I know it is called Rock n Rollercoaster, I could also imagine someone like Big N Rich, Trace Adkins or Rascal Flatts- someone from the crossover side of country.

I just think if they tried to get a hardcore "rock" band now, they might run into the same debacle they had during the RHCP/ Rockit Mountain summer.

I was kinda hoping it would be rethemed to Nanny McPhee myself......:rolleyes1;)

I'm not a big fan of theirs but I think Kiss would be cool. I can just picture a Micky figure with Kiss makeup in the shop after the ride.

I vote YES for this.

They could sell a set of Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto as the 4 Kiss guys and I'd totally buy it

I would buy all of them plus more.

And God knows KISS will market anything (they are the group that has their own coffin line right?)

Seriously, KISS is an awesome idea -- the possibilities are endless. (and I am sort-of a fan -- but a bigger fan of Aerosmith)

KISS fan HUGE I am...

That's exactly what I had in mind.

Disney I'm available for hire if you need some cool ideas :cool2:. I'll be in Orlando next month let's talk. ;)

They could have the track you walk under to get in the ride a long Gene Simmons tongue...awesome!

I also prefer Van Halen to Van Hagar...but I love Montrose from way back when!

Just a little pet peeve of mine -- it's THEIR music. Bon Jovi is a band Jon Bon Jovi is the lead singer of Bon Jovi (and if you want to get technical it's John Francis Bongiovi :lovestruc)

Sorry, now back to the thread

Based on song titles alone, my suggestion would be:

ac-dc-2008-tour.jpg

Highway to Hell
For Those About to Rock
You Shook Me All Night Long
........

Nice work there! I'd throw in some Sammy stuff. Hot Summer Nights would be a good song for a roller coaster. You could actually just do Sammy. I Can't Drive 55! Heavy Metal!!! That'd be cool. My personal pick would be to call it Ozzy's Crazy Train and re-do the car into a train.

It's funny I enjoyed Sammy as a solo artist and was totally into Van Halen pre Sammy, I was excited to see what would happen when they joined forces. Let's just say :sad2:

I could just picture a Crazy Train ride!

While I don't think their music would work for a roller coster Pink Floyd would take us on a mind bending experience :hippie:.

I love AC/DC, so I'm really glad to see someone else had this thought! A lot of people would probably say they're not Disney-friendly, but considering Back in Black was used in the previews for Lilo and Stitch (anyone else remember those previews?), I'm inclined to disagree with those people.

I hope they leave it as is...but if they have to change it, I love Bon Jovi. I have loved Jon Bon Jovi for many many years.

However, I do think the Disney characters dressed as KISS would be very cool.
