Disney Abu Dhabi - reckon they will have DVC?

The company that is building this park, Miral, also builds resorts/hotels according to their portfolio:

Why would there be DVC when you could stay at one of these hotels instead? The Warner Bros. park they built has a hotel right next to it, for example.

To be clear, it isn't in Dubai, it is in Abu Dhabi, which is about 90 mins from Dubai. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE.

Yas Island in Abi Dhabi has aggressively grown in recent years and is known as a massive theme park/tourist hub. Not shocked at all they chose this location.

To keep it DVC related though - no, I don't see DVC going there. Highly inflated point chart conversions like Tokyo? Perhaps!

I think we will see the same push we see now from DVC for international destinations. This will be part of a direct exchange program, which will cost an eye-popping number of points transferred into the reservation points collection. I don't think we will ever see an international DVC, just like I don't think we will ever see a timeshare-based Disney Cruise Line ship, which I so desperately want (although I'm scared by the thought of the dues). Since DVC is a deeded interest, you are talking about now figuring out real estate transactions on an international scale, which is likely either impossible or not cost-effective.

Does it change anything if they use something like idk… a trust, as the in between? Unless, I’ve misunderstood (which I very well could have), wouldn’t an RTU trust would be a much simpler transaction since it’s not deeded? I mean I agree that I don’t think international DVC is coming anytime soon mostly because idk how much interest there would legitimately be and I’m sure DVD has their doubts too. But a trust could open some avenues if they wanted, doesn’t it?

I doubt they’ll have DVC. I have to wonder how they cool parks in that region; looks hotter than blazes. I am assuming there is a non-zero number of heat stroke victims every day.
