Disney 5K Closed!!!

Well, I had been puttting off registering for the 5K in January. I've already registered us for the 1/2 Marathon, but for some reason, never got around to registering for the 5K. So, I go last night and pull up the site...It's CLOSED! I missed it! ugh. The last time I checked it, it was only like 65-70% booked and I thought last year it didn't close until closer until October...

So now I have to decide if we should not do it or try to register through one of the charities.

I've looked at the Tourette's Charity. Has anyone done it through them before?

EDITED to add: I contacted teh Tourette's Charity, but you have to rasie $500 per person. I don't think that Matt and I can both raise that amount of $. If anyone has any info on the other charities, I would love to hear it.

That was fast... I thought it was at 60% a couple of weeks ago too! I was on the fence myself but I guess that settles things.

I signed up for it a couple weeks ago when it was at 99%. Maybe I was the last person to get in on it!

The 5K closed on 9/5. It filled on 10/20 for the 2008 race. I would expect it to fill faster as more and more Goofy runners are doing all 3 races(like us again). Didn't do it for my first 2 Goofy's but signed up for the 3rd and 4th Goofy.
