welcome! I'm new to all of this, as well! I did see posts from over the weekend where people were being waitlisted. however, Disney's site had updated to say that the 5K was full. Since they must have opened it back up since you said it was at 97% when you tried to register, hopefully you'll get in!

For your disney-vation, there's a Jan. marathond weekend thread on here that has lots of good info and motivation!

are you doing couch to 5K? I think I've seen threads on here for that, too!

I know where you're comming from, last march I started the couch to 5K program which I had to rename one foot in the grave to 5K program for me. I couldn't jog for more than about 20 seconds before I was panting. Now I'm up to a mile and a half at a stretch so I'm pretty proud of myself! We ran the Halloween 5K a couple of months ago and it was so much fun! Our plan was to run from character to character and rest while we waited in line for pictures, it worked out great we weren't tired at all. So make sure you bring a camera that way you won't look out of place standing around when you need a break. I think I read somewhere last time that you don't pay for parking if you get in the lot before the race starts. Good luck and have fun! Maybe you'll see me there (in line for a picture)
