Disney 3x4 and 4X6 journaling cards *accepting requests*

I'd like to request a Castaway Cay parasailing card. There's no rush on it as we're not going until March. My Girl Scout troop is going and several are going to parasail for the first time so I'll be taking lots of pics and a filler card for this would be fantastic! Thanks!

I had a really long post this morning and was within a sentence of posting it when my internet went out ... (it came back on about 30 minutes ago) I had received the GKTW Annual Report and wanted to share a bunch of the data .. I'll just share this...

In 2012 GKTW served 7337 families - 964 of that number were international wishes from 23 countries around the world... 515 from Canada, 315 from the United Kingdom. They didn't have how many from the other countries .. but represented the flags (Pixie - at least one was from Ireland!) ... The rest were from the U.S. ... If anyone wants to know a specific count from a state .. I do have those numbers!

Of those 7337 families .. Crops of Luv only made around 300 albums...here's hoping that next year we can do more! And thanks to your wonderful journal cards they will be that much more special!

Craftyladylyn, it took me a while but after a lot of online ponderings I finally got my head around an idea for the Pillow cards I decided to make you some pillow tree cards, inspired by the real pillow tree There are a few versions with different "Look what I/we made" subtitles and also no subtitle. Hope you like, it was fun to make!

And there are also cards for the actual pillows... a set of "my/our" cards with hearts and a set with stars... The pillows seem to have several names, dream pillow, wish pillow etc. but GKTW refers to them on their site as "wish pillows" so I went with that

2. The Wishes and Dreams Pillow - (In the Castle of Miracles is a tree - not to be confused with Elmer the snoring tree outside) and the wish kid (along with any siblings that want one) receives a pillow (I'm not sure how the process goes) - It is a small pillow (They are sewn by volunteers - there is a specific pattern that is followed - there are groups all over the world that make up the pillow sleeves and I think they are stuffed at GKTW - but I'm not entirely sure). It has two different coordinating patterns and I think they try and match the child's interest with the pillow he/she receives...a lot of the "tuck in" pics we receive have the child with his/her pillow as well - just another thing for them to "hug".

Sometimes the families take pics in front of the buildings - or they use the stock pics (they are given a CD with the general pics on it - from my understanding) So these 4 are buildings - and you probably know what all of them are from your research .. but if you have any questions .. I'll try and answer them!

I am so excited I can barely contain myself. We leave in exactly 2 weeks and I've been planning/paying for this trip for over 2 years, so I can't believe we are sooooo close.

It took me a while to work on these but once I got going I just kept going. Hope you like these Lyn! I was about to stop after the first few and then I got your message about the picture you had gotten in the past with the little girl in it and I made some more fillers. No way anyone could possible need this many Barney cards but I guess you will have your pick! The last one was made to be printed as a horizontal 4X6 if you need to fill up more room. Also the filler with the Raindrop song is a new technique I tried. It looks a bit weird but I think it looks like a kid drew it so I can get away with it. I like the technique which is kind of like coloring on the computer. It was really fun and relaxing to do. The coloring book lines weren't the greatest so the lines aren't super solid. If you don't like it I won't be offended but I wanted to try something new. If you need anything changed please just let me know.

AWESOME! These are going to look great on the layouts! In fact once I wake up again (up because hubby was snoring and I couldn't sleep! - I'm watching Looney Toons...LOL!) .. I'm going to print out the Shamu card for a layout! Just happened to do a Sea World/Shamu spread this week for a GKTW Kid...and I haven't turned in the packet (I will on Friday!) .. How's that for instant use of your talent???

LOL, thanks missus, glad you like them! My disboards coonection mysteriously disappeared for the past few hours, just disboards & gktw But a reboot fixed it! Yay!

Here they are, and the explanation of the two versions... the zebra background is borrowred from another card I did for Kilimanjaro Safari, so just in case you have a Kilimanjaro AND a safari theatre card in the same album I did an alternative version with a wood effect background too

Also... you all know me and my constant run-ins with US & UK spellings while making these cards... well I googled "theatre" (how I spell it) vs "theater" (US) and apparently people use both "theater" & "theatre" in the States, but "theatre" is used more often for stage stuff. GKTW themselves spell it this way so I went with that! Such a learning experience

Fab cards tiggergalttfn, I love that filler card!! I may pop down to watch five minutes of an outdoor movie while we're in AOA just so I can use the card
