Disney 1/2 Marathon question

Just a quick question. Does anyone recall how soon the 1/2 marathon reached full capacity last year. I have not registered yet (little short on $$$) and will not be able to until the first of September. I don't want to miss my opportunity.

Which half marathon? They have two on the left coast and a bunch on the right.

It's only 70% right now and it is usually the last to fill up. Keep watching the web site, but I would guess you have a good chance to make it.

Just an FYI...the MARATHON is the race that will have its 20th anniversary. The half celebrated its 15th last year.

Like Reep said, it's 70% full. They are playing a little (annoying, to me) game on Facebook where they are teasing the medal release for both the half and full marathons. So once they release the medal design there is, I think, a possibility that they'll see an increase in registration. And just so you know, the price of registration is going to increase by $20 on September 26.

Thanks. I know about the price increase. My plans are to register August 29. I will be watching the site. If I miss the 1/2, I might be tempted to do the full?? But I will have to step up training.

Do they have a limit on the 5K? My daughter is thinking about doing that one.

Yes they have a limit on the 5K as well so keep an eye out. If it doesn't have a percent full by it, that means it hasn't reached 50% capacity yet. They post once it hits 50%.

I don't remember about last year but it did seem that the half filled up much later in the year. I want to say November but I could totally be wrong.

Due to work schedules before this year I've never really known until early November if I can go to the race and I've always been able to get in if I book through Marathon Tours. You just have to get 3 hotel nights through them to get in. I bet there will still be regular entries available on September 1st though.
