Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Greats!

I second what EmilyGahr said! We also like the proximity to the Fantasia mini golf course near Swan & Dolphin. And in non-COVID times, the entertainment and surrey bikes on the Boardwalk, and Belle Vue Lounge. Crescent Lake is also nice to walk (or run) around. And we also just love the Boardwalk theming around the resort!

As said, great location, beautiful resort, and weve stayed in a few villas with great views of ToT from our balcony.

I stayed there for the first time last weekend. I booked it about a month out and to be quiet honest wasn’t thrilled about it. I had been avoiding that clown for years. From pictures it looked to me similar to the GF winch always has a stale vibe when I’ve visited. Well boy was I wrong! The whole vibe was whimsical and lighthearted. The theming was well thought out and full of detail. The CM’s were all smiles. I loved the layout of the pool and my family thought the slide was the best on property. My kids LOVE a good splash pad but to my surprise they wanted to go back to the playground again and again. The location can’t be beat and the dining options are great. I loved the resort so much that I booked another stay in May and am planning another to book another in January.

That sure makes me lots better.
Thank you

I love hanging out in the lobby and the rocking chairs facing the water. The boardwalk is right there and epcot and Hollywood Studios is walking distance. Pool and hotel area is very quiet.

The best pool side on property. It’s also beautiful, in a great location, close to Epcot and DHS and has a great vibe on the boardwalk.

We love everything listed above but our favorite is sitting on the balcony of the Belle Vue lounge. We sit out there with a drink in the evening & enjoy the people watching. We also bring breakfast/lunch up there a few times each stay, sooo relaxing.

We‘ve been staying at the BWV since 2007 and I’ve been saying since then that the CM’s there are the nicest and friendliest of all the resorts. In 2019 we switched up and had an opportunity to stay at the Polynesian. This was always my dream resort but we left disappointed in the all around experience there. It was a beautiful resort but we never felt the warmth and openness of the CM’s there or the vibe of the resort.

We also love the proximity to EPCOT and HS and we always get park hopper passes so that if we feel like walking over to EPCOT For dinner we can. When everything is open there are so many close dining options. We like to book the BW View so we can sit out at night on the balcony and people watch. If and when the entertainment returns, it usually draws bigger crowds there.

Everyone has their favorites and BW is ours.

It was not my first, second, or even third choice as we were picking our resorts. My husband chose it. Then we got there, and I immediately fell in love. We had a beautiful water view where we could watch the boats arrive and depart. It was so relaxing. The room was a nice size, and the staff were friendly. It will forever be my home resort.

It is by far our favorite resort. The number one thing is location, location, location ! Being able to walk to two resorts or use the boats or Skyliner is great. We almost always walk over to EPCOT at night if we've been to another park earlier in the day. The view from the Boardwalk rooms or lobby patio is just beautiful. There is also great activities (non-pandemic times) on the boardwalk itself, plus you have access to restaurants at 5 resorts all within walking distance.

My first love will always be WL, but BW comes a close second. I like to walk around the resort (inside) and look at the pictures and the memorabilia; I think everything about the decor is nostalgic, whimsical and charming. The location absolutely can't be beat. I like that I can lounge by the pool and see my kids at all times no matter where they are in the pool; you can't say that about many deluxe resort pools. My kids love the Community Center and the endless games of air hockey. While it would be nice to have another quick service food option, I love the sandwiches at Boardwalk Bakery and the other Boardwalk food booths (when they're open). I like the liveliness of the area but that the rooms still feel tucked away and quiet. I like that you can not only walk to two parks but also four resorts, which expands your dining, shopping, and strolling/sightseeing options. I like that there is now skyliner access a short walk away. When I splurge for Club Level, Redgie makes delicious meals that lure me back from the parks early.

I've been staying at the Boardwalk since I was about 6 or 7, so the clown slide was very nostalgic for me. I kinda loved it haha! Even though it's so close to the parks, It can feel like such a serene and relaxing resort. I always recommend it when people ask about WDW resorts.
