Kara, your update is so funny! How's your good friend Helen? When I first saw flat Ally with the AKL pool, I thought., "what? Which TR am I reading?" Of course I'm on drugs tonight after the dentist, and I am blond

Off to sleep now with visions of bananas and hot dogs in my head..WHAT?

Ah, yes, ally likes to change up her look. You'll see her morph into something else by the end of the TR.

So THAT'S why I kept finding bananas and hot dogs next to your pull-out! AND why you always woke up with a big smile on your face????? And here I thought you were just happy snoring all night long....

That pic of Flat Ally in Donald's arms???? Cracked me up when you showed me that day on your camera- still making me laugh now...

Glad our good friend Helen was there to give us all awards- but, I'm so sorry you misinterpretted her wink! It was to Cammie- a little "we have to keep Crazy Kara believing she's my favorite, but you KNOW it's really the rest of you who are the best moms!! Especially those two over there at AK who didn't even want to come to MK without their beloved children!" See? If you look closely, you can see it in all the pics of our good friend Helen's eyes!

I'll never tell......... So I'm NOT the BEST Best Mom? That damn Helen!!!!

So, this is not DISMom related...well, it's only related to me! But I had to post it, because I think it's hilarious! Yesterday was the Mini Fair at DS10's school- Pods was in the dunk tank! DH has coached soooooo many kids, between years of baseball, basketball and soccer, and they were all lined up, ready for a chance to dunk their coach! The parents were lovin' it too! Even some older kids from Tyler's baseball team (he's their manager) came by to get him wet! Here's the first kid, "up"-



Then DS10 (Timmy) went- he got him (which I mistakenly had the regular camera on for) but than is the kid running up, and then DS12 (Tyler) got him-

I'm tellin ya- this is providing HOURS of entertainment for me!! Hope you enjoy it, too!

As usual, I'm pulling up the rear. Sorry for my tardiness AGAIN girls.............

As Kara mentioned, we decided to head over to MK this morning - because my trip to WDW would not be complete without a visit to that park. I don't recall sleeping in though. What I do remember was how amazed I was at how quickly I can get ready in the morning when I don't have two kids to also worry about. I think we were up, showered, dressed, and packed within a half hour. Lovely! Although my "motherly" habits took over and I felt compelled to do a quick sweep of the room to make sure we didn't leave anything behind. And don't you know - what have we here? Kara's camera bag hanging on a hook in the closet. Looks like I was going to have to keep tabs on someone after all!

Soon enough, it was goodbye All-Star Music; hellooooo Animal Kingdom Lodge!

We dropped our two bags and case of water off with concierge and went to grab a quick breakfast at Mara. I had a cheese danish; don't remember what Kara had. Do remember she had the darndest time finding a top to fit her coffee cup though. After eating, we took a quick walk around the pool:

My kids on a stick were getting mighty comfy on that lounge chair; and I will admit, it would have been nice to spend a few hours by the pool on this day (it was going to be a hot one) but we had so much we wanted to do and so little time to do it in.

So off to Magic Kingdom it was!

Pretty soon, we were strutting down Main Street:

And enjoying the sights:

We decided to head over to Frontierland to ride the biggies over there. On the way, just had to ride my FAVORITE ride:

I believe it was around this time that Kara and I were missing our kids a little. It's VERY weird to be walking around Magic Kingdom without them. I hadn't been in childless in MK since 1990! Very weird! Eh - I got over the feeling quickly though. Like I said, it was nice just having myself to worry about (oh, and Kara)!

I took a sentimental shot of my kids in front of HM:

As we started our walk over to the two mountains, Kara became excited at the bears from Country Bear Jamboree roaming the streets. She had never seen them out before (where has SHE been?) and ran over to get some pix. I decided to browse around a kiosk and take some shots:

The CM working the kiosk, Helen, took notice of my kids on a stick and asked about them. When I explained that a group of us DISMoms had escaped to WDW for the weekend and these were the only "kids" we were bringing with us, she cracked up. She took Kara and I around to the side and told us she wanted to do something special for us. She pulled out a very big binder. It was at this point that both Kara and I thought we were getting Fast passes and I think our eyes were popping out of our heads. But, alas, we weren't. In a very nice gesture though, Helen wrote out four "Best Moms in the World" certificates for us. Nice - but it wasn't going to help us cut any lines.

Before we left this area, we noticed Donald was out and there was hardly a wait. He just LOVED our kids on a stick!

Well, back from our trip to the World. Boy was it a hot one. Had a great time though. Looking forward to going back in 90 days or so.



Kara . . . . . . . You are the queen of making things happen. Thanks for making arrangements ahead of time for me to have him working that night!

He didn't really seat us but I asked our server if he would come over to our table. He was so good looking in person and tall! I embarrassed my girls by having him come over to the table. My DH was even nice enough to take the photo. They all think I'm crazy. I don't know why, but they still love me.

And, in my opinion, Raglan Road was not one of our best meals. It was actually our worst. I felt sick all night after eating here. I had the chicken dish like Cammie and it just didn't sit well. This has always been our favorite place to eat, but next time we are going to skip it.


Still loving your TR! You guys are a scream. Can't wait for the big meet!

Continued from last post........

After goofing around with Donald Duck, Kara and I made our way over to Frontierland. Our mission: ride Big Thunder Mountain AND Splash Mountain.

Both rides had about a 20-25 minute standby wait. So we decided to FP BTMRR and go standby for SM. We figured if we got wet, we could dry off on the way into BTMRR. Afterall, that line is in the sun!

Will we?

Alas, we didn't get wet. Which I was disappointed because it was getting HOT! Next - onto BTMRR!

After BTMRR, we went over to POTC. Walked right on! Unfortunately there was no pirate tutorial going on outside. Which, I guess as Kara mentioned, was a good thing. There would not have been much arm-twisting required to get us to run away with Capt. Jack if presented with the opportunity!

It was at this point we decided it was time to leave MK and start our journey over to Epcot. I stopped for a snack - POPCORN!

We both knew we should have something substantial in our stomaches before we started our drinkfest at Epcot. Kara decided she wanted to try a Casey's hot dog for the first time. Me? I couldn't bring myself to eat there. It is Lauren's ABSOLUTE favorite place to eat in MK and I was feeling the mom guilt about eating there without her. I chose, instead, to wait until I got to Epcot to grab something.

Out of the exit gates where the CM bid us adieau!

Sorry you didn't enjoy the meal there though. Like I said, I've enjoyed it the two times I went. But again, my first choice at DTD will always be Fultons!
