DISmoms Gone WILD!!!!! A trip to WDW w/out the KIDS!!!10/6 Updates p.36 FINISHED!

Oh my, the sunrise safari looks fantastic! I would love to do that someday. The KS is always so fast and you never can get a really good look at the animals.

Yes, that's very true. You are lucky to come out with 1 not so blurry shot on KS, you're going so fast! This was the absolute opposite. Lots of time to just look and enjoy-:thumbsup2

After breakfast at Pizzafari, and a few TMs with C & K, we were heading out to visit some AK attractions before making our way over to Epcot. Loni was not going to ride EE again (she DID ride twice in a row AT NIGHT last year, but she was saying that it really upset her stomach, and she didn't want to go back).:sad1: That's ok- I knew Kara and I would be MAKING SURE CAMMIE RODE EE later on the trip- there was nooo escaping it for her! So I would just ride then!
We ran into this fella-

And then took a bunch of pics with the photopass photographer in front of the tree of life- I'll put them up when I get my CD! We went in to see IABL, and since I hadn't been to see this in a loooooonnnng time, I took some pics of the animals on the TOL

Very dignified, Lonnie...;)
2009_052006summer0181.jpg

It was great, we got there right on time for a new show! We sat down and I warned Loni that there was going to be a lot of screaming and crying as soon as the lights went down. It's just TOO INTENSE for little ones- even the ones whose parents say "my kid will be fine!" :sad2: It is such a great movie- we both were hysterical (even if many, MANY screaming and terrified youngsters were NOT)! I LOVE going to the parks with Lonnie, because she hasn't gone on alot of the attractions and it's so fun to live through her brandy-new amazement of them! I was dying for her to see FOTLK, so we made our way to Camp Minnie Mickey, and got there just in time for a show to start!!

I think this is my favorite show in WDW- i am so impressed and in awe of all the performers, I love the acrobats, I love how colorful it is, i love that the kids get to go and be a part of it- I always cry during it because it is just so beautiful, and I always leave the arena feeling like I just experienced some incredible Disney Magic!:thumbsup2

Lonnie said she thought her stomach would be able to handle Dinosaur, so we went over to ride- again, we just walked right on! Of course, you KNOW that the whole time we were getting to the ride, we were already hysterical- because I was filling Loni in on Kara's husband Jeff's D ride!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Thanks Jeff! For all the laughs!!

Look at the row behind us!! I think Jeff is in it!:rotfl:

I think around now we got a text from our other DISmoms that they had left MK and were at EPCOT, so we headed out to meet them-:woohoo:

If Jeff is in the row behind you on Dinosaur you can't see him - probably becaue he is curled up on the floor in the fetal position screaming for his life!!!! :rotfl2:

Great updates! The sunrise safari is definitely on my someday list! I have to admit the first time I rode Dinosaur I was scared to death! I hadn't done any research (:scared1:) and thought it was a ride similar to Universe of Energy or something! I'm sure my picture was quite a sight! :rotfl:

I think that was him in the seat behind Loni's left shoulder- he was being protected by the 2 12 year old girls!:rotfl::rotfl:

I've actually started your TR a bit ago, but haven't gotten back to it - I need to continue!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
Your TR, i'm on the edge of my seat....! :thumbsup2
Where are they going to eat?
What are they going to Drink?
What hottish men will they see next?
WOOHOO I'm ready! popcorn::

Oh love all the info on the AK, I think my boys will love this park the most. Actually who am I kidding it will be the pool LOL

Cant wait for more :)

Love the Safari! So cool you got to take your time with the animals!

Now, about the dreaded KJ - it is an often misunderstood creature - it can actually be very useful on a jungle safari - very good at warding off skinks and black snakes and white monkeys!:thumbsup2 When you come across this creature, speak very fast and offer a margarita, then back away until she has satisfied her thirst.

I love the TOL pics. Sometimes we can just run by and forget about the detail.

I finally figured out the who-who of the report.
Sounds like you gals, had a great time. I saw Leesa's pictures at Epcot, can't wait to read everyone's version.

Well..... Cammie and I didn't have anything nearly as exciting on Sunday morning as Ellen and Lonnie's sunrise safari. In fact, we were getting some much needed beauty sleep while they were scoping out wild bongos.

We decided that since we really didn't know if we would all be heading to MK or not that we definitely wanted to at least see the castle this trip. So that's where we were heading.... AFTER we moved our bags over to bell services at AKL.

We walked around the lodge a bit when we first got there. I decided to play tour guide since I had just stayed here two weeks before with the fam. So we checked out the lobby and a couple of the safari views, as well as Jiko, and the pool area. And of course, Flat Ally wanted to check it out too.

Pretty soon we were heading to MK.

MKMainSt1.jpg

Now I have never strolled into this little courtyard just off Main St. So here for your viewing pleasure....

MKMainSt2.jpg

MKMainSt4.jpg

I always knew she was full of hot air......

MKMainStflatallyballoons.jpg

Isn't she a bit overdressed??? But at least she was keeping the sun off Princess Ally.

MKMainStflatAlly.jpg

And yes, in case your wondering, Ally did bring a change of clothes, and hairstyles, this trip. Today she is Flat Princess Ally.

Ally loves pin trading!!!

MKMainStflatAllypintrade.jpg

We headed straight for Frontierland cause we wanted to hit the mountains!

I think we had about a 15 minute wait for Splash? And believe it or not we did NOT get very wet, which was probably a good thing as I chose this day to wear white shorts. And what with it being a family park and all, well, you know!

Ally did not get wet either....

MKSplashMtnflatally.jpg

Cammie, didn't we grab FPs for BTMRR? I think we did so we wandered over to HM while we were waiting.

We headed straight for Cammie's favorite ride, HM. We knew we would only be at MK for a couple of hours and we didn't really have any must do's but I think this kinda falls in that category.

MKHauntedMansionflatally2.jpg

It didn't take long for our time to come up for BTMRR so we scooted over there. Going around some of those tight twists and turns you really get to know the person sitting next to you..... :rolleyes1

As we were wandering back to BTMRR, we stopped at a little kiosk in Frontierland and met our good friend Helen. We asked Helen to pose with pics of our flat kids and she was just tickled pink, our good friend Helen.

MKmotheraward.jpg

She just thought we were the cutest things, our good friend Helen. So sweet were we, said our good friend Helen, that she proclaimed us to be awesome moms, and presented us with Best Mom awards.

SCAN0010.jpg

Now, I like to think that she gave me the best mom award and then kinda winked when she made them up for the other three, but don't tell them I said that. ;)

And then our good friend Helen wanted to chat with us for 2 or 3 or 20 minutes or so. Not that I was checking my watch or anything. But she WAS sweet, our good friend Helen, and even posed with the flat kids.

MKmotherawardflatkids.jpg

Now, not quite as talkative as our good friend Helen, we did meet this guy who just LOVED posing with the flat kids!!! So much so that he got duck lip prints all over them!!!!

By now we were getting a little hungry so we decided to head back through Frontierland to catch our favorite pirate. And we decided this. If Cap'n Jack wanted to kidnap us, we would not fight it. Oh, maybe just a little for the fun of it, but otherwise, I'd pretty much go willingly. Yup. And I'd never have to worry about running out of eyeliner either. Jus sayin......

We stopped for a couple of drinks and I got a banana.... still thinking about Cap'n Jack...... and then on to Casey's. I have not had a hot dog from Casey's in forever!!!! Jeff hates hot dogs so we never stop when he is with us. And it was..... a hot dog...... still thinking bout Cap'n Jack..... What????

By now it was time to head out so we made our way back down Main St, said our "good byes" to MK and headed to the monorail to get to Epcot for the MMM.

Have I told you how much Flat Princess Ally loves the monorail?

Monorailflatally.jpg

Of course we were texting fools the whole day. Back and forth with Ellen at AK.

Whatcha doin?
When are you going to epcot?
Will we see u soon?
OK, hang up. No YOU first! No YOU first!!!

Sorry, flashbacks of my first teenage boyfriend and our first phone call......

Next up, Epcot and the MMM!!!!

Kara, your update is so funny! How's your good friend Helen? When I first saw flat Ally with the AKL pool, I thought., "what? Which TR am I reading?" Of course I'm on drugs tonight after the dentist, and I am blond:rolleyes1

Off to sleep now with visions of bananas and hot dogs in my head..WHAT?

So THAT'S why I kept finding bananas and hot dogs next to your pull-out! AND why you always woke up with a big smile on your face????? And here I thought you were just happy snoring all night long....:rotfl2:

That pic of Flat Ally in Donald's arms???? Cracked me up when you showed me that day on your camera- still making me laugh now...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Glad our good friend Helen was there to give us all awards- but, I'm so sorry you misinterpretted her wink! It was to Cammie- a little "we have to keep Crazy Kara believing she's my favorite, but you KNOW it's really the rest of you who are the best moms!! Especially those two over there at AK who didn't even want to come to MK without their beloved children!" See? If you look closely, you can see it in all the pics of our good friend Helen's eyes!::yes:::thumbsup2

HA Kara love the update and lil miss Ally got around. lol

Oh and I literally LOL about the texting and bfriend part oh I so remember those days LOL thanks for the trip down memory lane LOL

Short and sweet MK trip. Love it! Can't really blame ya on Capt Jack. Yum-o! ;)

Looking forward to hearing about Epcot and the MMM! :)

You girls are too funny. I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to pull together a girls weekend at WDW.
