Hi and to the newbies! Can I make a suggestion for Dec?................how about Dec 13, 14, or 20, cause i always seem to miss out on these outings and would like to meet everyone. I know that may be too soon for some and some of you might even be in WDW at this time. I am having sugery on my foot and will have to stay off of it after the 20th or so . I haven't actually scheduled the foot surgery yet but plan to have it before Christmas. Opinons and comments wanted?

I'll be at WDW Dec 11-17th.

This time last year I was home for 8 weeks because of surgery on both feet. I'm so glad I had it done. My feet feel GREAT!!!

Hi all. Sad to say I can't make it on Saturday. It's one of those times that one DS needs to be somewhere and the other DS is going to need to be somewhere else, therefore, both of us need to chauffeur. Sorry to be missing it - I had so much fun last time. Hope I can make it to our next get together.

I was really trying to figure out alternatives for the boys but it wouldn't work out. I was looking forward to some "adult" time.

I have a suggestion for those who are coming to White marsh tomorrow:

I am one of the most selfish, uncharitable SOBs you'll ever meet. I don't even throw loose change into the Salvation Army kettles at Christmas. But one small charitable thing I do most years is called Stuff-A-Bus.

For those who don't know, Stuff-A-Bus is a food drive, sponsored by local radio stations. I believe that it's held in other cities around the country, but in Baltimore, it's held in November, prior to Thanksgiving.

The drive is simple - MTA buses are parked at several shopping centers around town (this year it's only two) over the course of a weekend (this year it's only Saturday), and the aim is to fill the entire bus with donated non-perishable foods, from floor to cieling, back to front. The food is donated to several causes like local soupp kitchens and "baskets for the needy" programs.

This year, one of the buses will be parked at the Giant Food in White Marsh, just on the other side of the White Marsh Mall from the restaurant where we will be gathering.

I plan to head over after we finish and donate some food. If anyone would care to join me, you can either bring some stuff with you, or make an excursion to Giant to pick up some stuff. I plan on getting mine from my local WalMart supercenter, because my dollars go a bit farther there than at Giant. I usually don't make a big deal out of this, or even tell anyone about it, but this year the donations are pretty thin and needed a lot more, so I figured I'd let you all know that there is an opportunity nearby when we gather at White Marsh.

Will -- what a great idea. Wish I was joining in. We are donating to the local shelter in Reisterstown this Sunday though. BTW- where is the walmart supercenter? We only have regular walmart around here and the closest big one is in Hanover, PA.

My WalMart supercenter is on York Road in Lutherville/Hunt Valley.

The other supercenter I know of is in Hanover, at the interchange of I-97 and Quarterfield Road.

There's also supposed to be one on Washington Blvd in Arbutus, and another in Severn someplace, but I've never seen either of those.

While we are all in a charitable spirit, local animal shelters always need stacks of newspapers, and old blankets or towels that have seen better days. We've been donating to the Balt County Animal shelter on Nicodemus RD for some time.


Saturday I will not make it to White Marsh. Will be getting last minute items for our WDW trip on 11/29.

We did meet, well at least Mark, Will and I. don't know what happen to the others. We still had a good time...munching on nachos and eating fish and chips..and good conservations. The boys are just sweethearts.

Since December is going to be crazy with Disney trips and the holidays, we discuss having the next meet in January 2009 (depending on weather). Thoughts?
