DISmeet - 1st October 2011

Hey guys,

This thread is an add-on to September DISmeet thread. Tracy (Elise79) suggested that it might be better to keep the two meets seperate, as the other thread is getting quite long

Tracy also suggested that the DISmeet be on Saturday 1st October in the Magic Kingdom. Maybe mid-morning at Sleepy Hollow's seating area? I'm just hoping to gather some opinions on that idea, especially as it will be the 40th birthday

If you're planning on attending this meet - whether you're going to the one on the 25th or not - could you please just let us know, so we have a rough idea of how many are possibly going to be there

Hi Jeanette, there are two meets.

# 1 is on Sunday 25th September - the original thread covers this date. Its looking like it will be held at approx 6pm at the Polynesian

# 2 has been suggested to occur on Saturday 1st October. The other option was/is Sunday 2nd October. The suggested date and location is to coincide with the 40th birthday. I'd really appreciate everyone's opinions on this

We won't be arriving until late afternoon early evening so we would not make that time.

Still we do hope to get to MK for that evening though as long as we can stay awake.

The 2nd looks set to be a MNSSHP night - which makes it a good park for touring in the day if avoiding crowds is your primary objective in making the decision.

FWIW, the Saturday does not place MK favourably in terms of avoiding crowds. HTH

Thats a shame, sorry we'll miss you! Still, if you see a biiig bunch of British people slurping dole whips at Sleepy Hollow late into the evening (after starting off there in the morning), feel free to drop by and say hi!

Thanks for your input Lee I was thinking that it would be the place to avoid, especially given the fact that everyone will be flocking there that day. But..if MK on the 40th is where the majority wish to be, then I'd ideally avoid crowds, but its likely that DF and I will head there for the meet and then find a lazy spot at another park or POFQ

My DH and I would like to try and make the meet. Have you decided on place and time yet? Would it be ok to bring my parents also. They are Canadian (but DM was born in the UK)?
