Wow..I cannot believe how much the on property hotels are charging per night in October! There are no AP discounts for the time that we want to go.

Disneyland hotel = $203 per night for a city view, $280 for park view

Paradise Pier - $203 for parking lot view, $230 for park view

Grand Californian - $342 for Downtown Disney view, $360 for park view

Damn! Guess we won't be staying on property for this trip!

Not sure how many nights you are staying - but they should run 4th night free during October.

OK we are debating taking a trip during this time well have to look into this

Save your money and stay at a good neighbor hotel within walking distance. You can use the money you saved on something else maybe some mouse ears or a nice dinner.

The ONLY time I have paid to stay at the DLR property was when I found a last minute Expedia special. $169 for the GCH and $129 for the DLH. I still didn't think the GCH was worth it, but I'd return to the DLH for that $129 rate. :)

yeah that's the price you pay if you want to stay on site. but those prices are reasonable compared to what i've seen for the month of June at those places. But yeah your better off staying across the street and paying half price or even less. wish DL had something like what WDW has in places like the All Star Resorts where the rooms are cheaper but smaller too.

Where did you find $203 per night for a city view and the Disneyland Hotel?
I could only find 257.00 Standard View.

I could only wish...you don't want to know what we are paying to stay at the PP this July. We want to swim and really none of the off-site hotels have very good pools, so we are paying a crazy price (my opinion) for the PP. We are also going in October, but since we wont be swimming, we will stay off-site probably at the BWPPI.

probably around $300+ cause I know GC was around $400 I believe and the bad boy was sold out in June, not like I would stay there and pay that price per night.

I agree...there are many very nice and reasonable hotels very close to the parks

What dates were you looking for in October? There were some special Gay Days rates available for the beginning of October but I'm not sure if anything is still available.

We're planning on going Friday October 19 - Monday the 22nd. Gay Days is the 5th - 7th.

We were going the same week as you, but changed our dates to 10/09 - 10/13 so that we could get the gay day rates for the GCH. This way it was after Columbus Day and the Gay Day events.

It is pricey to stay onsite. Most of the time I can't justify paying $350-$400 a night for the GCH. The most I've paid was $275 a night for the DLH last July. I love it onsite, but is it expensive! Were staying offsite next week, otherwise we couldn't have gone.

I know I have sticker shock everytime I look at the on property hotels....
My personal Fav...Is the Anabella across the street GREAT BEDS!!!!

I am not saying those prices are GREAT but when I was there last December :santa: I paid a little over $400.oo for a park view, I am going in September and for a standard room with the AAA discount I am paying $306.00 a night but well worth it to me, I hate walking along distance issues because of my MS. You'll have a FUNtastic time no matter where you stay. :cool1:

We stay on property because I do like to immerse myself in the entire Disney experience..but..I do know what you mean..Sometimes..I can get a deal..but..usually I just have to realize everything Disney is not cheap..(even bottled water in the park..lol) and..bite the bullet..so to speak..

Call them for a quote - they do have a senior citizen rate (if anyone in your party is over 65).

I know. I wanted to stay onsite. But the prices were just too much to warrant it.

I stayed at a neighbor hotel for a bunch less a night and was perfectly happy.

What the heck is going on that weekend??? I'm thinking about a Sat(or) Fri/Sat night stay. I hope the hotels across the street don't follow suit.:scared1:
