Don't feel bad. Neither do I. Somebody asked me today what my plans were for this weekend. I told them I was putting my Halloween decorations out. Well, that's done, so I'm free for the whole weekend.

I try not to let it bother me but now that they are cutting hours at the plant I feel like I could go out and get a job and I can't. I feel really bad about it.

My Mom used to do custmer service for Bank of America so I have a good idea what you are going through.

my mom did customer service (on the phones) for sprint, at&t, cingular (when they were separate- then combined...back in 97), JcPenny, Bank One (formally known as) and who knows what else...i guess she really liked that field

Besides that phone call it really isnt that bad. I'm usually good at letting guests like that roll off my back, afterall i did work at Front Desk, and ive dealt with worse face to face

i just had the most difficult phone call ever (at this job that is). So earlier today my manager told me that i should answer PBX phone calls (especially if the operator is swamped) Since i started i knew that i should answer the PBX calls by the 4th ring but i opted not to for fear that someone would call and i wouldnt be able to help them in an efficent manner (being that i still dont know the area, nor am i comfortable answering all the questions about the hotel ) but today being an extra busy night, i was told twice to make sure i help and answer calls tonight. It was going smoothly at first, id answer the phone and transfer the gst to the extension they wanted...until one particular gst called. Apparently he had been transferred from the operator to conceirge to front desk and then hung up on...so he calls back and unknowingly i answer his call and he lashes out ...i try to help him (without transferring him once again) but he was just so difficult. He kept asking if he was on a prank show and blah blah blah ...i tried my best to remain calm (i learned that working at Pop...) but he wouldnt move forward just kept complaining...to my luck someone walked by and i waved him in to the gift shop and told him i needed help, by this point i was a nervous wreck (my voice and hands were shaky) i took deep breaths and let him (and the other guy he called in) handle it... Now i dont want to answer the phones anymore. .. sorry just needed to vent...

Awww, that really sucks you were put in that position I did tech support for PC's for many years and know how nasty people can be

Just got back a Brand new Wally World and OMG, was it Huge!!!!!

We also went to Sears and got another memory stick for my camera. They were having a sale. Normally they are 44.95 and were on sale today for 15.95

Doing good, slow but good. Those darn everyday things keep slowing me down. I knew I should have taken a pic of the kitchen the day I got it finished cause now it's not as pretty But I blame that cause it's basically between the utility/laundry/storage room and the rest of the house, so unpacking material ends up in there.
Luckily we haven't had anymore repair problem (knock on wood) except for needing to put some new shingles on the roof after Hanna came thru and decided to blow about 20 of them off

Hopefully with the kids being on vacation for the next 2 weeks I'll be able to get more done (being able to stay up as late as needed since I don't have to get up early for school).


I see by your ticker you are about to be off to the World again
I realized this past weekend that it has been exactly a year since we went on our first trip.
Can I sneak into your luggage and come with you

Ahhhh, that is the one thing I like is usually not having a specific time to get up since DD is not in school yet. I hope you can get some things accomplished next week. Why are they off for 2 weeks? That seems like a long break
