DISing Weightloss Club

I need to go food shopping today for healthy food. what fun.

I did that the other day..lol...Picking up a case of water instead of pop what fun is that? And instead of a bag of chips I got cereal bars!! ;)

This is going to be a weird question, but does anyone know of a snack that has a salty taste to it that won't totally throw my diet out the window? I have been looking at sodium counts and it is killing me not having a lot of salt in my system, my cereal bars are sweet and healthy now i need something that has a salty taste that is healthy in moderation :goodvibes I am up for any ideas!!

Popcorn is a great salty snack that you can eat quite a bit of and not consume a ton of calories. The trick is getting the lighter types of popcorn and not the full butter ones, which can have 500 calories a bag. Both South Beach and WW Core allow 94% FF popcorn (SB just doesn't allow it in Phase 1). I love my popcorn!!

I thought of you all today. I got done with an appointment at noon today and was very hungry. Normally I would have stopped to get something from Wendy's but I didn't. I just got home and ate my Special K bar instead. Hopefully this will continue! :thumbsup2

This is my first day watching my nephew while on this diet and boy is it hard. I know that may sound weird but you know little ones like to snack and it is so hard to not snack with him...lol

:cheer2: Good job! Isn't it amazing how the car just wants to drive itself into the fast food lane? My car is very bad like that. (LOL) It is hard when you let yourself get too hungry, and I do that all the time. My will power just flies out the door.

Have a great day!

I know all about that! The amazing thing is they just eat a little bit and then they are off and running. We are left to clean up and get tempted. Hang in there! :upsidedow

Yup. That's a huge thing. A trick I have learned is to have some nuts around to snack on when I start to feel hungry and I can't get a meal yet. Walnuts and almonds are your best choices (I prefer them raw - which is best for you anway). They're very good for you! You just can't eat too many of them since they're so high in fat (the good kind though).

I'm happy to hear that everybody is doing well today. I am working a 4-12 shift tonight so sticking to my "diet" should be easy as I do not have any temptations in the office aside from the vending machine and I don't carry cash so that is no problem. ;)

Light popcorn is one of my favourite snacks as well!

I know all about the drive-through. I have to drive by a Wendy's everyday on my way to and from work and it is just so easy to turn in and get a bacon cheeseburger. :sad2:

I had leftover Pizza for lunch with a bottle of water. :thumbsup2

Only one slice, adn I was good to go.

Course the SEVEN boxes of peeps and 4 liters of Coke I had this weekend during the stress binge (and upcoming AF) have caught up with me, and I am up 2 lbs. :sad1:

Oh, a hint for the environment:

Find out about the water content where you live...where I am, the water's pretty good. I open a bottle of water in the morning, refill it with tap all day, then put it on my bedside table. The next morning, I toss the used bottle into the recycling bin, and open a new bottle. Still a pretty high carbon footprint, but not as bad as opening a new bottle every time I am thirsty.

If anyone is interested, there is a website called hungrygirl.com - you can sign up to have daily emails sent that have healthy eating tips/etc. Sometimes there is something interesting in them - some days I just delete. :)

My appetite gets crazy out of control during AF (sorry Scott!) and I always crave bad stuff. Those two pounds will be gone quickly

I don't do bottled water. We bought two good-sized water pitchers when we first moved back here (almost 2 years ago) and we have a Pur filter on our faucet. I just refill those and keep them in the fridge. I don't realize how much water I drink in a day until I realize how often I'm refilling those babies!!

Great tips! I need to run to the grocery store today, so I will add almonds on the list. I always wondered if it was OK to eat the raw ones (I just never knew if they were only for cooking with, etc.:confused3 ). I will keep them in the car.

Well, I am off to run :tiptoe: a bunch of errands and get to work. Have a great day everyone and thanks for the motivation!

You guys are great!:thumbsup2

I can only imagine what is in our water around here..lol...I probably do need to get one of those water filters because I refuse to drink straight tap water..I know I am weird like that for some reason  I am glad everyone is doing so good!! Me and my mom are having subway tonight which is my favorite...mmmmm...i just gotta remember no to the mayo lol....The little one is laying down for a nap now we just got done playing with my mom's exercise ball lol I know not supposed to be played on but whats the fun in using it for what its supposed to be used for :rotfl:

My family and I have run into a problem and my younger brother may not be able to go with us on this trip. But, I have already booked it all and paid the down payment and paid the insurance stuff too. How difficult is it going to be if I have to take him off our reservation or to possibly just have his spot filled by someone else. Since he is 16 i am under the assumption that we are paying full price for him so would it be easier just to replace him with another adult so we don't incur charges? I am so worried about having to pay extra money and just need to know the best way to do all of this and the cheapest way to do it, whether that be taking him off the trip or putting someone else in for him. And my aunt has been hinting she wants to go so that wouldn't be a problem there. Any help anyone could give me I would appreciated I am just so confused right now!! :confused3 :confused3

Did you book a package through Disney? I don't see it being a problem removing him from the ressie or replacing him with somebody else. The down payment for a package is $200 no matter what so that won't change no matter what change you make and you should only have to pay a fee for changing the ressie if your trip is within the next 45 days.

Yes we booked through Disney but right now we are in the middle of switching to themagicforless people and we haven't paid them any money so I don't see them charging me anything to make changes.

Hey all. I am not sure if any of you know about Malley's?? Well it is a chocolate candy company from my home town (Cleveland) and I love it. Well my MIL just sent me a box of Chocolate covered pretzels. My downfall. I have had about 5 of them already. I need to put the box up.

Scott do not read below

I guess we must all be on the same cycle. :lmao: I thought only woman who lived to together had that happen. Not just their love of all things Disney:rotfl2:
