Is liquid dish soap allowed in checked in luggage? I got a small thing of Joy dish soap for our refillable cups.

Sure it is. Just be sure you put it in something that will contain any leaks. Your checked bags get handled pretty roughly and then they fly in the non-pressurized cargo area of the plane so leaks are not uncommon.

I have my dish detergent, laundry soap, fabric softner in a zip lock travel baggie..I am debating on putting them in my carry on as I don't want to have my clothes oh yucky when I arrived...which would be safer? Thank you

Keep in mind that any liquid or gel in your carryon needs to be less than 3 oz in size and the all have to fit into a 1 quart ziplock bag.

Thanks for the replies everyone! :thumbsup2 You all are DEF. making my mind at ease and packing easier :rotfl: Yes, I already have it in a ziploc baggie and its going in my checked bag. All my liquids are going in the checked bag, that way I dont have to worry about them pulling a bag out at security, examine it, tell me this doesnt belong when it probably does, and etc. It will just make things a lot easier and faster to just put all liquids in my checked bag! :thumbsup2 And yes all liquids are in baggies :rotfl: Infact everything in my checked bag is in baggies. I even packed like the OTC medicines, in a baggie, stuff that I wont need right away if the bag gets delayed. However, I am packing my inhaler (its only 1/2 ounce), lactose, allergy and heart pills and a bottle of tylenol in my carry-on. I cant let those go missing! :scared1: Yeah I know bags get thrown around a lot when its being a checked bag. So which is why I made sure I packed that bag very tightly. I then put my disney tote bag (bag for our souviners) over everything and zipped it closed. Nothing is gonna move around in there. Everything is packed to tightly. Pack everything tight and give it some cushion and it should be good to go! :thumbsup2

Quick question, since my inhaler is only 1/2 ounce, but it is presurized thing, should I put that in a quart size bag?

I double bag any liquids or gels that go in my checked bag - just in case. It's saved me once or twice.
Very good idea to pack meds (including necessary over the counter) in your carry on. I never trust mine to checked bag either.

It's not necessary to get through security, although you should tell the TSA rep about them just before you go through. Medications are exempt from the TSA "baggie rules".

The airline cabin will be pressurized so there shouldn't be any problems. That said, if you think there could be a leak or any problem inside your carry on, it wouldn't hurt to put it in a baggie.

BTW.....We have used Joy to to get stains out of our clothes. It has worked better than any stain remover I have used in the past. :thumbsup2

Good to know! I read that you cant take tide-to-go on a plane because it supposdly have bleach in it. :confused3 So I guess we will use the Joy instead if we have to :thumbsup2

Any liquid has to be 3 oz or smaller to go in carry-on. In any case, double bag the dish soap so it doesn't leak onto other things.
