As u are aware I had to cancel my trip on 19 th sept due to davids death.Spoke to VA who promised refund or to reshedule flights for me free of charge as long as death cert covering letter proof of address sent in etc. three people I spoke to. Refund today of £247.47
Apparently I was misinformed and thts my compensation.
I cannot believe I hv lost £1300+ when I could hv rebooked for free but obviously hadnt planned new dates but was told could go before end of june 2013
i am so upset. Hv spoken to refunds today and although they were sympathetic they cannot guarentee anything.
I am disgusted tht after all I was told sent in the death certificate eticket etc Iv lost nearly everything.
Surely its their error for misinforming me
luckily I have the names and extensions of all the people I spoke to and I have prepared a stinking letter to their customer complaints department incase this woman looking into it doesnt contact me back today.
