DisGUSTED by Design??

Have you EVER seen these surprise Design shows where the "surprised" person is absolutely DISGUSTED?? LOL!

I just saw two "Surprise By Design"s today where the surprised hubbies looked LESS than enthusiastic! Last week I saw a "While You Were Out" where the guy went nearly BALLISTIC!!

I don't know if I'd like anyone working on my home while I'm out, Trading Spaces is different because you KNOW that something's happening and if you don't like it, too bad, but these SURPRISE shows, and there seems to be a new one every week.... .... I'm not sure...

Would you like for someone to do the work for you and surprise you???

I would not mind being surprised. Most of what I have seen has been ok. My bedroom really needs a makeover!

As long as he decided to surprise me with our Master Bathroom I wouldn't care WHAT they did, nothing can be as bad as it is right now (unfinished!!!!) Now if he TOUCHED my bedroom I would kill!

Robin, was it the While You Were Out where they cut up the guy’s deck to make a beach? He was really upset and I felt so sorry for his wife since all she had wanted was to make him happy. But I thought it was NUTS to cut the deck!

I don’t think I’d want to be surprised like that. I like to decorate my own house. But getting it done for free is a pretty good perk.

I wouldn't mind the show Suprise by Design because they have your SO and you can bring friends on. If someone I knew was helping and could veto any horrible situations I would feel more comfortable.

Surprise by Design and While you Were Out seem less focused on the shock factor like Trading Spaces does.

Boy was he angry!!!! He certainly didn't like the house being painted.. he kept on saying "You BEEP painted my house!" and all she wanted to do was please him...


He was ok about the grill though.

I agree with the FREE part, but you'd THINK the so called "loved ones" would know better before getting involved in something like this.

My sister made me SWEAR that I wouldn't do it to her! I like going into her house and doing some design work but only AFTER I know she's seen it and really liked it.

Sometimes I wonder if the person who set it up is doing it for themselves instead of the other person... hmmm...

Every room in our house needs a re-do I'd be ok with being surprised at almost any room...except my private lair It needs a re-do but I don't want anybody messin' with my stuff.

I saw that one with the deck. Now, if I were her, I would get him in some anger management classes. Why he went off on them is beyond me.
She looked like she wanted to crawl under a rock.
I felt so bad for her.

I understand why he was mad, but to lose control like that is not good.
