DISers Stalking DISers...our end of June adventures!!

Hi! We're HOME!!! Had a wonderfully fantastic trip - got to meet Courtney and Ryan, Crazy Kanga (Laura) and her great family, and Wendy and her lovely daughter and extended family. :cool1: Unfortunately, didn't get to catch up in person with DawnMaree, but we spoke on the phone! ;)

Will try to catch up and write an abbreviated trip report. Our only major problem on the trip was MASSIVE flight delay on the way down and a semi-MASSIVE flight delay on the way home! Gotta love jetBlue! grrr....

Glad to be home - not glad to think about all that LAUNDRY waiting! But, it must wait, because I have to sing at mass tomorrow morning, pick up Mr. Mocha, and then go to a graduation party! lol My life just NEVER slows down!!!

Hope all had a magical trip - "catch ya later"! :goodvibes
Renee

:wave2: Hi Renee. Glad you're back. Sorry about your flight.
On to Day 3
Today is a non park day for us, just Typhoon Lagoon and then whatever. My plan was to get to TL at 8 for EMH so we could do things without lines. We did manage to get there by 8:30 with much cracking of the whip by moi. Chris gets irritated at my commando mode at Disney. He was a little pre occupied about the work he was missing and feeling guilty about it so he wasn't as into this trip as I would have liked. It also made him somewhat cranky. Anywho I get them moving and we get to TL and go straight to Crush-n-Gusher and ride it 2 times in a row with only a few minutes wait. Then we head over to Gangplank Falls(family raft ride) which was SO lame compared to Team Boat Springs at BB. then onto Shark Reef which was OK except it was pretty cold water and my mask wouldn't stay on good. Then the lazy river and someother small side and then to the wave pool where we stayed until we left around 11:00. Here are some
pics from TL

We drive back to the Swan after a short rip over to Gooding's Grocery store over by DD. Then we go on up to the room for a sandwhich and a rest. Then down to the resort pool which was so nice I wish we had just stayed there instead of dragging our lazy butts all the way over to TL.
Here are some pics from the Swan/Dolphin grotto pool which we loved!

Then we went up for a nap and then later we went to the Boardwalk to look around at the X Games stuff they had over there.Luke especially loved the trick bike rider exhibition. So much we saw them 3 times. Here are some pics of that

Then we had dinner at ESPN. We originally had planned to go to Planet Hollywood at DD, but lazy family didn't feel like messing with that(sorry Kari! :sad2: ) so just decided to eat at the Bordwalk. We alyays enjoy ESPN CLub. Chris and I shared the Ruben and it was plenty of food. Later on the way back to the room we watched the bike stuff again and the fireworks from Epcot without music :rolleyes1 . Never fear, I will see Illuminations with music before we leave Dang It!

Welcome home Renee!!!!

So glad you're back to chat w/ us!!!!

CK- I've always wanted to try those WDW water parks.... They seem like a lot of fun. Maybe next time! Love your pics!

sorry the other one was too big.. Heres another interesting one...dont know what we were all doing or looking at.

Great photos, everyone!!!

Laura - I have the SAME photo of Bob that you do of Chris!!!

Kari - I'm so sorry we missed getting to meet you! I THINK we might have passed you on Tuesday at Magic Kingdom! We were walking past Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride and I heard a voice say, "Avery, over here!" but I couldn't find where the voice came from, and we were with my sister's family, so I couldn't backtrack and find you! :sad1:

Courtney - we did Blizzard Beach and had a great time - but poor Dana's tailbone STILL hurts from going down all the slides. No meat on her!

Renee

Courtney you should join us next year if we're there the same time. We're not doing Disney waterpark though, we're doing Seaworld's. I love sealife and this is going to be an awesome thing to do for me. I still love Disney but their waterparks bore me.

Hahaha!!! I did the focker symbol on Splash Mnt when I rode with DM--- and it does look like I'm poking my eyes out! And since I had my raincoat on, all you can see is the tiniest part of my face!

Hey yall---- I decided to be brave-- I started a TR--- Come join me? Check out the link in my signature!
Hey Courtney...we bought two 5x7's of that Splash Mt ride so I'll send you one!! And yes everyone, she was all bundled up looking crazy with Ryan while attempting give everyone the Focker sign! :lmao:

As you can probably imagine, none of us are feeling the magic at this point...:headache:
So sorry. I want to hear good things please! I know you have good things to say, except you didn't get to meet me...:upsidedow

Then we went to TT and then decided to head back to the room. We were going to stay for Illuminations but we were just too tired. We could see some of it from the Boardwalk on the way home, but we couldn't hear the music.:guilty: Oh well, we'll see it another night later in the trip so it's all good and we go up to crash in our Heavenly Beds!

Is that a delicious glass of wine by the bed? :rolleyes1

I was tracking your flight down and boy was I feeling so bad for you. When I check to see what time your flight finally took off I was disgusted. You poor people! We flew JetBlue home and much preferred them over USAir.

sorry the other one was too big.. Heres another interesting one...dont know what we were all doing or looking at.

It looks like everyone is amazed at what I am saying! I must be the most interesting person EVER!!! Well, everyone but you JACKIE seemed interested in what I was saying... :rotfl2:

As you can all see, I am back and very tired. I am going to try to catch up to all my other subscribed threads and subscribe to all our Stalkers who have started their own TRs. I'll be contributing here a bit but will start my own TR by the end of the week once I get things in order here.

Now it's time to Hoop De Doo, shop till you drop, and scream as your ipod fan rises and falls.

Yep another installment of my TR. This is two days in one cause well Tuesday was well boring for the most part.

On Tuesday, June 19th. We got up that morning and did DTD and did some shopping. Oh I know real exciting. I got my shopping for my friends done though so woohoo for that. We ate McDonald's for lunch. It's better than the one here at home.

We had Hoop De Doo for dinner. It was delicious, except no more corn. We had a guy in the audience that kept making the actors mess up because of his laugh. We were right againist the stage and my mom was right next to me at times because we were so close we were in danger zone. Still good as ever and of course it wouldn't be Hoop De Doo night without rain.

We finished up the show and had to take a boat back, well the one to MK was huge so we hopped on the one to Contempary and got wet in the process. Not the best night but we got back and that was the end of the night.

OKay now Wednesday, oh where do you want me to start here? How about waiting a hour for a bus! Well we got there and were waiting. There was a huge group waiting for a bus to Typhoon. It had stopped and let people off and they took off running after it trying to get on it when they wouldn't let anyone board. We talked with another family who had been waiting a bit over an hour for a bus. There were about 6 AK buses during this time. They stopped and let off people but never let anyone on. It was umm messed up to say the least. We finally got on a bus at 10:30, after waiting since 9:30.

Well we finally get to MGM and do TOT. Well my mom hasn't been on it since it opened so her and I got put up front. My sister, sister in law, and nephew and a little who boy who wanted to ride but had no one to ride with were behind us. Well during the drops my mom's ipod type fan kept going up and down while she held my hand for dear life. I wish I had the picture.

We finished up there and headed to another ride, I can't remember what. Oh we headed to lunch at Backlot Express. Food was okay there. We went onto Muppets and did that. After we finished that we started walking through towards Mermaids and that. Well the heat was getting to me and I was getting cranky. Sister was getting affected by the heat and well the food wasn't sitting to well. We did the Movie Ride and headed back to the hotel for a while.

Well for dinner we had to be at MK. We had LTT. Waiter was great. Well after dinner, I went to the ornament shop and got my latest Daisy Christmas ornament. During that time my mom, sister in law, and nephew went on Hall of Presidents. -yawn- Well I sat down with my sister and she wasn't feeling good. She hadn't been feeling good since we left. She had a tooth pulled on Wednesday. Well we're trying to be patient, I'm telling her go back to the room. She won't listen, stubborn nurse. Well they finally got off the ride and we headed back to the hotel and that was it for the night.

Now for the next installment. We got a Court, a Kanga, and some Wishes.

I'm back at work :guilty:

Once I get all my pics downloaded to my computer, I'll start contributing......

We were up bright and early (for us, that is the crack of 8:30!) and headed for Epcot. We needed to be at Norway for the princess breakfast at 10, and wanted to pick up fast passes for Test Track on the way. Made it to Norway with a few minutes to spare... only to find a 30 minute wait to check-in! Finally got checked-in, and were sent to another line to wait to be seated. I must say that this breakfast did not start off very impressive. We were finally seated at 10:40. Breakfast was very tasty, and the princesses were wonderful. They spent a lot of time interacting with the kids when they came by... especially Avery. Avery was dressed as Snow White, and sat at the table eating her favorite food in the world... an apple! Aurora commented that she was "a very brave princess to eat that apple!" and Snow White assured her that the apples there were safe!

After breakfast, we rode Maelstrom twice with no wait. We then went to grab fast passes for Soarin. Next we rode Test Track, Mission Space, Universe of Energy, the Ball (never can remember the name of the ride!), Figment, and walked through the aquarium.

By this time we needed to head out to DTD for our 5:00 appointment at Bibbity Bobbity Boutique. Avery got the Fairytale Princess do, complete with make-up and nail polish. And Tucker got the Cool Dude with colored spikes, and a blue Mickey head.

Afterwards we shopped until time to go to dinner at Cinderella's gala at 1900 Park Fare. Once again, the food was fantastic. The characters spent an awful lot of time at the table. Suzy and Perla came by 4 or 5 times to play with the kids. Prince Charming asked Avery to dance, which was a real highlight for her. Cinderella saw, and commented to Avery that she hoped Avery wasn't planning to steal him away from her. Avery very seriously answered "I'm not!" :rotfl2:

We had originally planned to go to MK after dinner, but it was raining when we came out. With Avery and Tucker both sporting new, expensive hairdos, we opted to skip it and go to bed early. All in all... a wonderful day!

Renee... wasn't me in MK... we were in Epcot on Tuesday. I was disappointed you weren't able to make it to the Epcot meet.

Jackie... thanks for posting the BEAUTIFUL pics! (Sarcasm at its finest! :rolleyes1 )

Is that a delicious glass of wine by the bed? :rolleyes1
Yes Ma'am it is! I brought two bottles from home so I wouldn't have to pay more per glass than I would for a whole bottle. And trust me I needed it since Chris was a little crabby for most of the trip.

YEP...No problem.. I thought all us ladies would enjoy those fine pictures my son took...:lmao:

Kari - Avery looks beautiful all done up! I hope to do that with Brookie some day. The boys really wanted that Cool Dude thing but we never got to do that. So, I can't show them the pic of your son or they will give me a hard time....

Smart thinking. I only had 3 alcholic drinks during our trip. But they sure were good!

At least my pic came out better. I'll be posting that when I get my TR started. I like to go in order so no posting that one until I get to that...

Not to be a PITA ;) but could people please include the day or date instead of just day X when writing about your day?

Thanks!
