Hey girl. I have been wondering where you were at our Off Kilter meet. I kept looking around, but never saw you. Did you see us? I haven't been over to this thread in a few days. You must come over and hang out on all of our trippies.

Hey, I think I saw Renee & her family but I didn't see you. We just stood there for a couple of minutes...I hated that we were running late for LeCellier and didn't get a chance to meet you!! I do need to come over to the trippies...I am actually thinking about doing one...I just need to wait until I get my Photopass CD so I can use those pics too.

I had a problem with my new Croc capris this year. Last year I wore my Athens all the time with no problems. This year I took only the Capris and had blisters on the backs of my heels all week that really hurt and slowed me down. I think it was because they were a little small. My Athens are 8's and felt kinda big so I bought the 7 in the Capris and the little indentation where your heel goes rubbed on the very back of my heel. I was so mad. I wish I had taken other shoes. Oh, well.:confused3

Yes, next time I will take other shoes too!! I just bought me a pair of New
Balance tennies last night so they should be good and broken by the time we go the next time...especially since we don't have a trip planned yet! :rotfl:

Yes, it was us and 1Andrea and her family. We had a great time! I wish we would have heard/seen you. We left from the Contemporary and were dropped off at the Grand Floridian. Where did you leave from and then get dropped off?

We left from the Grand Floridian and got dropped off at the Poly! If we'd just gotten dropped off back at the GF we probably would've met up!

OK to all of you Croc wearers...were your Crocs comfortable or did you get blisters? That's all I took because I had such good luck with my 1st pair last time and boy was I sorry!! I didn't take the ones that I wore last time because I have almost worn them out. By the end of the week I had blisters on my toes, the side of my foot AND on the balls of both feet!! I went thru 2 packs of Moleskin by myself. DH wasn't glad that I had blisters but he said that I finally slowed down once the blisters started!! I was very disappointed...I don't think that my new Crocs are made out of the same thing that my old ones are...the old ones are so much softer. By the way I had worn them all several times so none of them were brand new.

I had that horrible blister problem on the balls of my feet twice now with my crocs so I didn't wear mine much this trip. I had no blisters! I alternated between my Merrells and Tevas and always used lots of Body Glide. I wore my Athens to the pool and to Downtown Disney one night. I was very happy with my feet this trip!

We just missed each other then...at least we got to meet leaving Epcot on Monday!!

I hope that I can say that next time!! I was extremely disappointed since I had not had any blisters with my Crocs last time!

Well, I was saving THAT for my TR but I guess I can tell my fellow Stalkers. Yes, I got horrible blisters on the balls of my feet by my 3rd day. More on that later in my TR...

Did anyone else who has capri crocs they make a squeaky noise after they got wet? Mine do now after going on AK.
All of them squeaked when wet...

OOPS...sorry I made you tell before it was time...I'm going to have to catch up on the trip reports...right now I am too busy doing laundry to check on any thread but this one!!

Well I hate to be the one to tell you but...I told you so!;) Now go out & get yourselves some Tevas!

So I may be behind of times, but what are Teva's:confused3

I saw so many crocs while at Disney. I kept think boy they sure must be comfortable, but not as comfortable as my sneakers and socks;)
I can honestly say with 100% certainity, nobody in our family had any blisters at Disney:)

I have to say that it took me 3 days before I got blisters and that I attribute to the sweating more than the flops, themselves. Last October when we went to the MK for 1 day I wore a pair of Sketchers sneakers and I ended up with 8, yes 8, blisters. Thank God I was spending the next day at the beach!

My feet tend to blister so I wasn't surprised when I got them. I just wish I had brought a fine needle so I could have drained them right off the bat. I know they say not to do that but it really has helped in the past. I went to the first aid station at the MK and the nurse bandaged up my feet. However, that was even worse. The stickiness came off on one of my Crocs and I could not get that stuff off the rest of the week. I'm glad I brought a bunch of other Crocs!

Excuse me as I take a minute to do this.

My nephew went home today. I love him and will miss him but prefer to stay sane.

I wore my Beach Crocs the first day, and my feet felt "hot", so I switched to the Athens and did well except for a little toe blister the last day..

Bob, however, did HORRIBLY in his clog crocs - and he got the better ones - off road or something? - I don't remember the name. He wore them a few times before the trip and THOUGHT they were broken in - you should just see the HORRIFIC heel blisters he got - one had a blood blister inside the regular blister - I was frightened to see what would happen if it popped! He ended up going back to the sneakers & socks. Dana wore the Beach crocs one day and didn't like them, so went back to the Capri Crocs. She got two small blisters from the clogs, but did fine the rest of the time with the capris.

I'm still loving my Athens. I will keep the clogs for the fall weather, and I did wear my croc slides one night - I like them, but don't think they were enough support for a full day of walking.

LizAgna: Wish you had stopped to say hello if you thought it was us! ;) We stayed until they finished playing, then headed to France for a WONDERFUL meal. We had the BEST waiter - he bantered with Dana all evening!
Renée

I wore my Disney Crocs the entire time and didn't get a single blister.
Shaun wore his sneakers and got a few.

Guess everyone's feet are different :D

I really do think it depends on the style and your feet and the size. I know that when I wore my Athens last summer, I had no problems. In November, I wore my Caymans with socks and had no problems. I really feel that having bought the smaller size in the Capris was the killer for me.This reminds me of one of my favorite lines from Steel Magnolias by Dolly Parton's character when asked about what her shoe size was "I wear a 6 but a 7 feels so good I buy an 8!"

sorry ladies but I and the rest of the fam wore good old socks and tennies. The whole time down at the parks.

I agree I didn't have anything small enough to pop mine either. That will definitely be on the packing list next time!

I wish I would have had time but it was right in the middle of the concert and we didn't even have time to stay for an entire song!! I'm glad you had a good meal at France.

I guess I was so surprised at my blisters from my Crocs because I had worn my green ones on the trip to DC with Amanda and they are the ones that started all of my blisters. We did A LOT of walking in DC too!! I wore them with socks just like I did at WDW...it just puzzles me why I had such bad blisters this time...maybe it was the new socks that I bought at not the Crocs after all!

Personally, I think it is just the MAJOR amount of time we are on our feet in WDW.... probably has less to do with the shoes or socks as it is to just the sheer HOURS we are on them!! :scared:

I agree with you!! I never walk/stand that much...in real life I'm an accountant that sits behind a desk for 8 hours a day!!

OK, I have started a TR...it's called The Super Surprise Celebration Trip - June 07. I don't have any pics up yet just some background info and the beginning of our journey. I didn't use my girls' real names because I don't know all those people like I know you.

It could have something to do with it. DH & I walk for hours everyday at home so we're used to it. Probably the same reason the heat doesn't bother us as much as others.
