I say DIS with the S sound. If I put much thought into it, I would have probably said DIZ... but its too late to change a habit now!

Just paid my last June bill... so all money from here out goes into my spending fund! Good thing, too... since I'm about $600 short of where I need to be, and only 10 days to go! Does anyone else budget this tightly? Originally, I had more wiggle room... then Wynn told me we had to put new tires on the truck before we went! :scared1: I should be fine... if worse comes to worse, I'll buy less souvies!

My husband tells me we should be on a budget, but we are not. I am actually not a big spender. I very rarely ever buy anything for myself... We are on a tight budget for Disney. The dog money I saved really should go for bills:confused3 , but I need my vacation. I just couldnt justify not being ona budget on this vacation. As much as I would love to stay in all the"Fancy"
hotels, I just cant do it.. The guilt gets the better of me;)
I wish I didnt have to worry about money on a daily basis, but I do...I really do need to win the lottery.

I really do need to win the lottery.

You and me both! If I couldn't pay for this trip in installments, I could never do it. We booked and started paying in October... and put our income tax return on it, too. Otherwise, I'd be the family vacationing in the driveway like on that TV commercial! :rotfl: My spending money budget is everything from the time we pull out, until we get back home... hotel for 2 nights, gas (estimate $500+), food on the road, and Chef Mickey breakfast. Whatever we have left we can use for souvies... which ain't much! Last year Wynn bought a hat, and I bought fridge magnets! This year I hope to splurge on a T-shirt!

Question of the Day! (And this may have been covered somewhere already in this thread, but I didn't feel like looking thru all of it). Dou you pronounce DIS Boards like DISS or DIZ. I say DIZ, because it is short for Disney which has the z sound. WHat do ya'll DIZers say?

I say DIS with an "S"

Attention all Off Kilter Party attendants, we will probably need to get there at least 15-20 minutes before the show starts if you want to sit. There is very limited seating. We really prefer to stand, because my son likes to shake his groove thang during the show, but since he's older and will have an audience of Diser's he probably will get a little shy. Anywho, I just thought it would be good to get there and chat a little before the music starts. Se ya'll there!

We are shooting at being there around 5pm. Of course depending on how the kids are doing and how good our timing is.

We have just started Dave Ramsey's Budget plan. It has changed our world. So, yes, we are on a budget and a mission! LOL

I say DIZ too. I never thought it could be pronounced any other way. To say "Diss" boards then just sounds like it is an insult. :rotfl:

I just went crazy at the Disney Store today. They had almost all of their T-shirts for $4.99 so I got the boys and Chris 2 each. Then I got myself 1 and a wallet to match my purse and 2 beach towels($7.99).:yay:
I think I have way blown our budget already and we haven't even left yet, but we are not big into Disney Souveniers anymore since we have been so many times. We might get a shirt each at most, but I doubt we will even do that this time since I loaded up at the Disney Store already plus the ones I bought from the Disney Shop online. Luke almost always buys a gun or sword with some of his own birthday money. Since we got a good tax return this year and Chris has taken on a lot of new business, we are splurging a little more this trip than we usually do though.

We buy very little in advance, because my kids will ALWAYS find something to buy! Avery wants the giant Stitch plush we wouldn't buy her last year... if they don't have it, we are in trouble! Tucker wants to buy Star Wars and trains at the Lego store in DTD. Other than that, they will get little toys and candy and such with their money. They tend to buy 1 thing a day at whatever park we happen to be in. The only "must have" purchase I will make is a Christmas ornament for each of the kids, and 1 for Wynn and I together at the Christmas shop.

My must haves are anything Daisy Duck, that I don't have and I can afford. A trip to the Basin store for some bath bombs. I get matching keychains for me and my friends.

I'm planning on getting the kids each an ornament and one for Mick and I.

We do that every year (except we missed 1 year. :sad2: ) When the kids are grown, we will give them their ornaments. Their first baby ornaments, I got 2 exactly alike... cause I could never give that one up! Tucker has a Cherished Teddy, and Avery has sterling baby shoes. My tree would be so sad if I had to give up those!

Ok, ya'll talked me into it. I'll have to get an ornament at the Christmas Shoppe. Dang ya'll are some expensive friends!:rotfl2:

I say "DIS boards"... but I guess it WOULD make more sense for it to be "DIZ".. oh well. :confused3

We don't buy anything from the Disney Store prior to a WDW trip - we did buy matching outfits when we did the Disney Cruise, however! ;)

Dana is ALWAYS up for "something special" to remember vacation... takes after her mommy... :goodvibes If it is a special trip, I like to buy a piece of jewelry to remember it by!

I am utterly exhausted... worked all day (on my own time!) getting the graduation liturgy program copied and folded, waiting on Sister to finalize the graduation ceremony program for the evening... rehearsed with the 8th grade... made sure the priests had copies of the liturgy readings... delivered Summer Reading lists to Barnes & Noble and the area libraries... stopped to pick up some burgers to throw on the grill ... now waiting for Bob to get home so we can eat!

Must get my OWN music together for Friday morning's mass... I am the leader of song every year at the graduation mass... this year will be strange as it is MY daughter's mass! :hippie:
And... I have to figure out how to press a graduation gown.. ;)

I've always said DIZ. I never thought it could be any other way. Now I'm so confused! :upsidedow

I think it's 4 pm. We have a 4:10 pm dinner at Le Cellier one night.

Thanks! That's good to know. I'm going to try to check in early. They wouldn't let us last time we ate there, but maybe if I beg... I mean, I have a DIS meet to get to! :yay:

I'm in rough shape myself! I basically have no money saved up for this trip. I thought I'd have about $1000 but somehow I spent it all! Couldn't have been all the shoes, could it? :rotfl:

Seriously though, my new Disney Visa is going to be getting a workout in a couple weeks! All our meals and misc spending will have to go on the card. :sad2:

Mist it with water, and fluff it in the dryer! If it can't be ironed that way... it don't get ironed at my house!

Not this graduation gown! You have to do it "inside out" and even that is risky. I can just see Dana walking up to receive her diploma with a big scorch mark on her back. :sad2:
