Wahoo! Double Wahoo! Keep promotin' your fellow DISers site! Love it!

Thanks for spreading the word.... Remind her if she loves a certain team (other than LSU-- geaux tigers!), I can customize the cheerleader outfit! I actually made an Alabama collar a few months ago for a couple there.

I'll do it!!

do you ever have a clue or does Scilla just point and say "that's what I want!"

I will have you know for her first b-day/ 1 yr anniversary present from me, I took her to Disney were I propsed:love:

I think I'm good at gifts :rotfl:

But seriously, I always get her something that either she doesn't expect, or will just mention it once when we see a commercial

Here's a funny story about LGMHs...I went to Home Depot to get some more at lunch yesterday. I had them laying on my desk at work to cut out when I got a second and a co-worker of mine came in my office and asked me what they were for. As I was telling her what "we" use them for she started trying to peel one off of the backing...I thought I was going to scream then I thought if she messes it up I will just go get some more...I can't believe that she almost messed up a precious LGMH!!!
I didn't cut out my LGMHs. I found they come off neater by peeling them off....

DMolic... where did you post the nose picking pic? Tucker wanted to see it, and I couldn't find it anywhere.:confused3
Back...by popular demand....

Question of the day... for tomorrow! What is your most embarassing Disney moment? Mine was walking backward out of the Haunted Mansion (1997) talking to a friend. I turned back around and ran into a post 1/2 a second later. TKO! Well... not quite, but I was dizzy!:rotfl:
Well, it would actually be at Disney...but we were on a Disney vacation. We (*gasp) went to Universal Studios for the day. It was a drizzly day at first. We were running in the parking lot when we came to the moving sidewalks. Well, don't I go and slip on that, my feet going straight up in the air and landing on my butt. This was back in 1997 and I still hear it from all my family till this day. Sweet.

Really? When I try to peel them off they get lines/creases in them. I've had good luck cutting them out so far. I may try to peel another color off the next time I go by and get a batch.

I agree you are a good gift giver!! Being proposed to and honeymooning in Disney how wonderful!!

I think we need to hear about the proposal...where we you when you asked her?

If you laminate them, a small crease won't matter. I prefer peeling them because my fine cutting skills didn't look as good as the peeling...:confused3

I read somewhere (here maybe?) to microwave them a couple of seconds to soften the glue, then peel them.:confused3

Thank you! and can you believe I had to talk her into going to Disney for the honeymoon? She wanted to go to an All-Inclusive resort:sad2:

OK- I'm not a good storyteller, but i'll give it a shot

So knowing she is very nosey, I had the problem of what to do with the ring on the way down. So when Scilla was in the bathroom getting ready in the morning, I hid it in my backpack. So we get to the airport and now I'm very nervous that the ring is not going to make it through the x-ray machine, well it did so I was safe for now..................

I make it through the whole flight without her asking to get anything out of my bag:cheer2: and we land at MCO. I imeditaly go ot the bathroom to take out the ring, and put it in my pocket (I had cargo shorts on, so you couldn't tell I had anything in the pocket)

I am now in the clear and just have to figure out exactly when I am going to give it to her...........WRONG...."Babe, why don't you put all the stuff in your pockets in my bag while we're in the parks?" OK- I give her my wallet and cell phone

About an hour into our MK day (remember she had never been so I had to take her to MK first) I am caught red handed feeling for the ring. "What are you doing?"...."Oh, I was just feeling for my phone, I forgot you have it in your backpack" (FYI- I got caught doing this at least 10 times during the day)

Now you have to know she comes from a 100% Portugues family, so I had to ask her fathers permission to marry his daughter. Well she decides to call her mom while we sit down for a rest:scared1: as she's talking to her mom, I hear her say "No, I don't have anything to tell you, why?" Whew, dodged a bullet there:rolleyes:

So we're eating dinner at Tony's and I go to the bathroom to get the ring ready (I had it in a box sealed in a ziplock bag). I go back to the table and I hear "I'm tired, lets skip wishes and just go back to the hotel" WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!:scared1: NO!!! We HAVE to watch wishes. "

So we decide to stay for wishes, now were do we stand? "Why don't we watch it from the bridge heading towards tomorrowland?" "No, I want to be in front of the castle, plus I want to look in all the shops while we wait" OK- so now it's 30mins till wishes:sick:

About 10 minutes before, we head out to get a spot. and choose almost this exact spot

(Wow, she choose smack dab in the MIDDLE of EVERYONE!)

So now I'm really nervous, holding her hand (remember my anti-PDA stance) puting my arm around her, giving her a kiss..........

Finally I hear Jimminy Cricket telling everyone to make a wish, I ask her if she's going to make a wish, she does, then I asked her if she remembered what she told me about "doing it" on a random night. She has this look on her face:confused: as I get down on a knee, take the ring out of my pocket and ask her to marry me "Are you serious? In front of all these people?".............."Um, is that a yes?".........."Oh, of course!"..........Kiss followed by "Can we leave now?"

That's sweet. I can only hope I meet Mr. Right and he shares my enthusiam for Disney.

Thanks!

Just let everyone that you meet know your a :bride: and deserve to be treated like one

And if that doesn't work, just force them to go, let the Disney:wizard: take it from there;)

FYI- I NEVER thought my step-dad would be the disney type, well he goes a couple of times a year with my mom now and loves it!

I did exactly this too DM-olic. I stared by cutting them, and I was no good at it. So, I peeled the rest and that worked better. And after it's laminated, it looks fine.

Rags on Rocks-

Thank you:thanks:

All her friends were telling her I was going to propose, but she wasn't expecting it yet

Also our best friends are engaged (they had been dating for a few months at the time) and I didn't even tell my buddy I was going to propose in case they let it slip I was going to propose

Actually, the only people that knew were my uncle (the jewler) and Aunt (the wife) and my college buddy that lives in NY cause I had to talk to someone about it and I knew that it couldn't get back to Scilla through him

And your future in-laws. When exactly did you ask her father for her "hand"?

And your future in-laws. When exactly did you ask her father for her "hand"?

A couple of days before we left

Her father tends to have a hard time keeping secrets, so I gave him the least amount of time possible to tell his daughter:lmao:

Oh I plan to do that Ragnrok, I can be a mean person though. Comes with having to be in my major sometimes. I get to deal with cleaning up people's images if I get my dream job.

Thank you:thanks:

Well, my whole family, and his whole family knew before me. In fact, he asked my dad about a month before. And then the week he got the ring, he went to my parents house - where my brother and sister still lived at the time- and they all tried on the ring... Well, not my dad and brother. But Mother and Kristin did, and ohhed and ahhed. And I had no clue!

Rags - Love the proposal story!

Mine is certainly not as exciting! Most of our courtship and engagement was spent "over the phone"! This was before internet days! :surfweb:

We had a "long distance relationship"... from Michigan to New Jersey for 2 years! Then he moved to NJ in May and we were married in October!

Rob & I went out tonite just the 2 of us to dinner for his 40th birthday. We haven't gone out alone in a long time. Rob wanted to go to Texas Road House since we've never tried it before. He got chicken & ribs which I did try the ribs. They were very "fall off the bone" good.

I started out with a coconut margarita. Do I hear ya'll saying YUMMO? I then ordered a $24.99 filet. I ordered it medium and made a comment that I really like it pink inside. It came back well done. So they cooked up a new one that came out chargrilled on the outside and totally raw on the inside. I was very nice through this whole thing and the manager came over, took my filet and said she would personally watch the cook get it up to medium. The cook almost succeeded but there was no way in heck I was going to send it back again. The manager took my meal off the bill. Woohoo...free meal! :woohoo: I told Rob that I guess I picked the right one. It did taste good. I ate half of it and have the rest saved for tomorrow.

And that is my dining review for tonite. Thank you all. :)

Rags - thanks for sharing your proposal story, it was so romantic!

Courtney & DM-olic - I'll have to try peeling them and laminating them. I actually looked at laminating paper in our Staples catalog at work today but DH said that HE would take them to Kinko's and laminate them for me...wow, last trip he didn't want to have anything to do with LGMHs now he's wanting to laminate them for me...who knows you may acutally see him as a Diser before long :rotfl2:

DM-olic - I'm sorry you had so much trouble with your steak at least you got a free meal...more money for the Disney fund :woohoo:
