For those with kids in school, or those still in school.. WHen do you they get out? How far after that are you leaving on your trip to Disney?

Avery gets out on May 22. Tucker gets out on June 8. We are leaving on June 16. Our school starts back on July 9, so I wanted to give them time to rest before and after the trip.

For those who are driving... how long will it take you to get to DIsney?

It takes us about 9 hours. We drive down on Sat, and stay at a cheapie hotel, then check into the resort first thing Sun AM, and pick up our park tickets. We check out on Sat, then go to the parks until close. Then we will drive as far as we can before stopping at a hotel. We will also stop in Savannah for a few hours going home, and visit Wynn's brother. The kids will get to run around a bit with their cousins.

The only thing I Wanted to accomplish, was to lose a little bit of weight. Ok, would of liked to lose A LOT of weight.

Last year I lost about 50 pounds. When my sis got sick, I put about 25 back on. I have now lost about 13 of that... 12 to go. My goal was to be the same weight/size I was last year, so I didn't have to buy new clothes. Problem is, the weight is "fluffier" this year... I don't think I will be the same size, even if I do get the pounds off. And after eating out 3 times this weekend, I'm sure I have even further to go.

My kids get out of school at 10:30 am on June 22. Our flight out is at 6:20 pm the same night!

I hear ya there! I have been struggling with WW and definitely not doing so well. I have decided to go out to Williams-Sonoma this week and get a top grade kitchen scale. I think that if I spend the money on something that good and it works good, then it will help me. Of course, once I go to Disney on the DDP all bets are off for that week.

My daughter's last day of school is June 21 and we leave June 22. It's getting closer... tomorrow is May!

God, I would love to lose some weight before the trip. I've actually lost about 15 pounds over the past couple months, but I have much more to go. And all the heat, humidity and walking is going to kick my you-know-what!

We have Walmarts and Super Walmarts around here. Some are nicer than others. Depends on what part of time they are in. I may have to stop at a couple for those fans though.

Anyone doing a photopass? I'm considering and not sure if I want to. Not sure how many photos I'd get taken. I have also considered sharing the cost with someone but not sure how that exactly works. I, OTOH, will take lots of pics on my digital and need to find some cheap memory cards.

My kids get out of school May 31st. Then we are leaving June 5. I am driving down to Melbourne, FL. Mapquest says it takes 12 hours to get there. I am stopping halfway, but I don't know where that is yet. Then when we leave for Disney, it will take a little over a hour. This year I want to leave the day before and stay at a cheapie hotel somewhere really close to Disney the night before we check in. Then we will check in early the next day (the 22nd) at our resort. Last year I stayed up packing really late
(2 am) then it was so hard to get up early, pack the car, and drive.

Does anyone know of a good cheapie hotel really close to Disney?

I hope you guys have a good breakfast with Donald, but I don't think this will work for me. The night before (the 24th) is EMH at MK. We probably won't go to bed until 3:00 a.m. or later. We always sleep in the next day. I am not sure what time we will be up and going. I still am planning on going to the Nemo show at 11:30.

That's too bad about the breakfast/early morning thing. If we can make the 11:30 am Nemo show we will be there.

But...we will be at the MK on the 24th too!! So will Courtney in the morning. Do you plan on getting to the MK early? We will probably be there at rope drop until after lunch, then go back for rest, and return for the evening until we are ready to konk out. Maybe we would take in a ride or 2 with the kids?

We stayed at Hawaiin Maingate last year... do NOT stay there whatever you do!!! We got it off of hotels.com, and it was rated decent, pics were decent. The place was filthy, had roaches... we didn't see any, but the girl checking out in front of us said they had them. I know we checked in and dropped our luggage, then went to get dinner and go shopping. We got back to the room about 11, and I had the kids in bed by 11:30. I was just getting them settled when I saw the bottom of their feet... I had never seen feet so black in my entire life! I had to scrub them with a washcloth before I could let them lay down. I told them they were not to get up under ANY circumstances! Could hardly wait to get out of that one! If you have AAA, you may want to contact them for a good hotel in the area. This year we are trying Comfort Inn on Palm Pkwy... about 8 miles from our resort.

I dont know what you consider cheapie? We are staying off site, I guess you would call a cheapie hotel .. We are staying at the Comfort INN LBV..we got the family suite for $70, with the Orlando Magic card. Iknwo there are cheaper hotels then that. The family suite has one queen and 3 single beds.
