Dis'ers going to WDW in Aug! How do you think...

How busy do you ya'll thiunk it is goin to be in August? Especially between the dates of Aug 21 and Aug 27? Please anserw the poll.

I don't think it will be crazy like it is in July, but it will definitely be busy.

I think the free food plan will make it more busy than usual. We know a couple of people who are taking a spur-of-the-moment trip (pulling their kids out of school at the beginning of the school year) just because the free food was too good to miss.

i voted CRAZY cause we have been going the last 4 - 6 summers in August. it is certainly packed, and hotter than hot. but we noticed on the anniv.years , it is CRAZY. it is still do able....but just be prepared for the crowds and heat.........we still had fun though..... id rather be there in the heat than home................

I'm leaving tomorrow... and it is going to be CRAZY!! But it won't be too busy in late August. Most school will be back in session.

Gone in August all but the first trip and its usually pretty busy, but with a lot of school systems back in session I think the crowds thin out a bit from July.

I think the parks will be busy, but the people will be CRAZY. After all who but a crazy person goes to Florida in August!!! At least that's what everyone tells me when I say we are going to Disney next week. My response...We'll be at DW, how bad could it be. After all, "A bad day at Disney is better than a good day anywhere else."

We've been down twice in August...both times mid-month around the 13th, or so, until the last week started, around the 21st. It wasn't too bad, but it was busier than I had thought it would be. Mostly due to great deals that WDW had...FairyTale pkg made those resorts fill right up in '03. Then last summer we arrived the same day H. Charley did. It was great for about 3 days, then all those kids who should have been in school, and couldn't due to the damage, came to WDW. By mid-week it was crazy busy.
I'm going again for a quickie, last-minute trip on Friday. It will be hot, humid, and busy. I must be nuts....everyone keeps reminding me that when I got home from the last trip, June 26, I said I would never go in the summer again...too hot, too many people, too little patience!!! Must be like childbirth, you forget the pain a few days later!!!

Dh is a teacher, so the only time we can go to Disney is during the summer. It's one thing to pull your kids out of school to go to Disney, but another thing for a teacher to miss school to go to Disney! LOL

Average, alot of people have to go back to school...which will drop the attendance. Even with the free dining plan...ALOT of people have no idea it even exists. We do b/c we are fanatics! The average guest probably has no idea they can get a free dining plan. It wont be slow, but I dont think its going to be crazy either.

been in late August and thought it wasn't bad at all infact we are trying it again this year. Wish us luck~

Been in August several times. The later in August the better the crowds are. I have pictures of the World Showcase in Epcot in late August with no one in front of the American pavilion.

We have been in late Aug and it wasnt bad at all and then day after Labor Day it was like Whoa where did everyone go, it was great walking onto everything but I think with the free dining there will be more than the average people going during the late Aug frame but hopefully not too bad.. We are going because I couldnt pass up the free dining it just made the trip so much more affordable..We will arrive Aug 25 for 5 days..
