I am from Grand Rapids.

DH and I were talking the other day about a place we went just a couple of times when we were both single. We can't remember the name of it.

It was a bar, I guess. In the Grand Central Plaza-I think. On 28th street across from what was a skating rink-I think the rink is torn down now. Between Breton and Kalamazoo.

It's now a BW3, but was something before it came that.

Anyone remember the name of it?

Thanks in advance. :D

P.S.

It was a couple of doors down from Vinyl Solution. I have no idea if VS is still there. Thought this might help.

Was it Electric Avenue? That's the only thing DH and I can think of right now that was in that area.

Close, Electric Avenue was across the street. I think I went there once, too.

This was in the "strip mall" across the street at the end.

:D

Ok, I know where you're talking about...but cannot think of the name. It will probably keep me up all night trying to think of it. I remember going there a time or two. Seems like I remember them having pretty good burgers...didn't they play 50's music or something along those lines? Seems like the name started w/ an "f" but I can't remember. I'll have to keep thinking on this one.

You might be right but now I think it was also something else before or after it was Flip's.

I guess I'll be up all night, too.:teeth:

wasn't it way back when roaring 20's pizza place.

i sent email to my parents they frequented that area.

Roaring 20's is way down by East Paris road, right?

This would be by Pietro's Restaurant and near the Indian Trails Golf Course.

I think it was Flip's and then turned into the bar I am trying to think of.

Let me know if you find anything out.

It's one of those things where neither of us can think of the name and it's driving us nuts.

Thanks everyone.:D

My mom said the servers wore roller skates you got her thinking now too!!!

my mom says the lace was called flips

You are right about Flips. Thanks for checking.

I remember eating there and then going there one day and it was something else for just a short period of time before it turned into BW3. I think they had a dance floor, DJ, etc.

I remember Flips had burgers and fries, etc.

Oh well.

DH and I were talking about all of the places we frequented in our younger days.:p 99% of them aren't even open anymore and it wasn't that long ago. I feel old :(
